I was not sure where to post this. I inherited a box that has a trick that uses the old computer punch cards. It comes with an envelope that says pci prestidigitational mini-computer. Need instructions.

Do you understand how to reveal the selected cards using the punch cards? If not, square them, one atop the other. Then SLOWLY slide the top card to the left or right. Watch the punch holes, and a card value/suit will appear. Now re-square and slide the top card the opposite direction. A second card will appear.
Presentation is up to you, and should maybe center around old computer punch cards. Odds are, most of your audience won't even know what they are without explanation.

Here is a pic of the trick. I don't think it's the one you are describing Michael.

It looks-like the one I used to own, except for the name on the punch card.

My set only had two, but I got it used, so I don't know what else it may have contained.

I work with a friend who was very good friends with Dr. Nick St. Erne. She owns a trick similar to this and was given to her by Nick St. Erne. She looked at the attached pictures and says hers is not the same version as this, but says that he is the inventor of this trick. I asked her to bring the punch card trick in and show it to me. I will take a photo and post it somewhere to view online. She used to visit Stevens Magic Emporium with Nick back in the mid to late 70's. She said that she thinks the trick is from 1978.
