My copy of Six-Shooter came in this morning's mail and I promptly sat down and gave the whole book a first read. It does not disappoint!

These are all solid routines and as always Richard has discovered and covered any weak points and manages to teach more than the routines with his insights on performing mentalism.

Many who own Richard's guidebooks to his Mind Mysteries understand the value of these books for the teaching and nuances he presents above and beyond what is on the DVD's. Others may mistakenly wonder why buy the books if you have the DVDs. All I can say is buy the books!

Richard goes to lengths to make everything crystal clear. The effects in Six-Shooter are:

Hands Off - One of a very few card effects that actually looks like mind reading.
3SP - A three-stage effect with two ESP decks (one for you and one for the spectator) each stage more impossible.
Wanted: Dead or Alive - A living and dead test that is powerful and simple, using your business cards and a small envelope.
Poor Man's Book Test - I really love this totally impromptu borrowed book test.
Amost Real Prediction - Richard's take on the Jack London classic.
Perfected Add-A-Number - The total of three 3-digit numbers gathered in an amusing way is revealed in a sealed envelope.
In his Final Thoughts he teaches a great why-didn't-I-think-of-that method of revealing the peeked at word in a book test.

All in all I am sure to be working with every one of these routines. Thanks Richard!

This is a great book and highly recommend it.

Poor mans book test is awesome because your head is turned away from the spectator and book as you riffle through pages. They call stop at any point they wish and memorize a word or two at the top of the page. The book is closed while your head is still looking away and set down on the table. Then through presentation and recapping that everything was completely fair you are able to tell the spectator the word they were thinking of. THE PAGE IS NOT FORCED, ANY BOOK CAN BE USED, NOTHING ELSE TO BUY!!!

Just one my favorites in the book.

Richard is a master and this book is just nothing but strong straight forward mentalism that you will use. We have had a lot of great new material released. This is one of them. I highly recommend it. And if you like mentalism with cards Hands off is amazing.

Yup, it’s easy to “make”.
