The video was edited for YouTube so on repeated plays it would not be too close up on the "move" the live audience just watches the screen and it looks very clean to them. But I take your point on the YouTube clip. I have three routines that are mentioned constantly to me and this is one of them. |

Just remembered, in WTF, and I may have missed it, but how do you handle them holding up five an one, or five and two?

Cool. Thanks. I remember wher five and three are covered, only fifty two cards, etc, but I obviously missed five and one, and five and two.

Hi All
I just noticed that at 17:20 secs into the video (WTF) I refer to the dealing from the face of the deck. I meant to say from the top of the deck! I'm sure you all worked this out if you watched in to the end. Sorry about that! Cheers Jamie |

Thanks Joe. Yes I used to have iCash. It was a neat idea before we knew how to program apps to do thing like that better. I am glad you liked it. I thought it was a nice idea at the time. My friend Carl Andrews has some amazing iPhone magic apps now. Check them out on the app store. Just search Carl Andrews Magic.

Carl has some great magic apps. I still have iCash on my phone and use it as a fun bit of business.
And again, thank you not just for sharing WTF but for the high-quality of the video instruction too. Joe L.

If you're not a huge fan of the joker gambit, here's an alternative. The four jacks, in chased order, begin in positions 12, 22, 32, and 42. The four queens, in chased order, are situated in positions 14, 24, 34, and 44. Slightly more work to set up, but weighing the additional work (8 card stack versus 6) against the benefits (not having to touch the deck or remove jokers after the number has been called), I think it's worth it. Jamie, thank you for taking a potentially unpleasant situation and turning it into something positive. Your friend, Ben

It was mentioned that a memorized deck method would be easier to obtain the number. True, however Jamie's method has the advantage of equivocate to one of the four queens (or jacks) which is easier than using a memorized deck. Because when using a memorized deck if the spectator names a number that is not at a face card then the equivocate becomes more awkward.
With Jamie's method you will always quickly equivocate to the three face cards. |
