Whats going on my family, I posted about this last week but since its fully up and running I figured I would again...
http://www.indiegogo.com/thelaymanslayerproject We are trying to put together a web series/TV show that showcases the workers in the industry. The premise of the show is simple. These are the guys that are your average, everyday magician. The hobbyist, the person hanging out at the magic shop every weekend, the guy working birthday parties, the street busker, the restaurant worker, the guy who has great ideas and builds his own props but isn’t published. This is the guy who wants to be a professional magician, but for whatever reason he hasn’t taken that next step. We found for of these guys and want to show what happens when we put them in real world working environments. Do they thrive? Are they ready to take that next step? We will put them in 5 cities in 7 days. In cooperation with several local magic shops and local businesses, watch as these guys go out and and perform in parks, restaraunts, weddings, on the street, in day cares, or whatever. Whatever money the guys make in tips is being donated to the Wounded Warrior project. The viewing audience for the webseries episodes help decide the best magician by voting on their favorite and even contributing to the WWP on their behalf. To get this off the ground we decided to go a different route. Instead of seeking out sponsers we are going the crowdsourcing route. Which is where you, the viewing audience, comes in. We need contributions to make this happen. If you’re a magician, show support for your fellow magicians. Don’t worry, we won’t expose methods. This isn’t about the methods or the secrets of magic, this about the performer, or the potential performers. This is about the trials and tribulations of the workers in the industry. So lets make some magic happen and help us get this off the ground. GO to the link below, watch the video and decide for yourself if this is a worthwhile cause. If so, pledge what you will. Like the project page. Share with your social media freinds. that's really all that is necessary to help make this happen. Be sure to LIKE us on the Layman Slayer Project fan page and tell us how you were able to help. We appreciate any and all support given. Sounds really good to me and I fully support these men. I have met them all and seen what they can do. I think it really is time for a decent Reality Show that puts magicians to the test. Support any way you can, even if you cannot donate then please make sure you spread the word we are a HUGE secret community and feel that getting this to happen would be great for us... "Layman Slayer" :- Title says everything that's wrong with wannabe magicians today in my opinion. Its not about frying, killing or slaying a spectator its about entertaining them.

Ok! let me give a little backup on the name before anyone starts to throw out words like Wannabe Magicians. This is not something that I want to get people ranting about cause its pointless and gets ugly if you read through the site or looked passed the video then you will have read that this is being run by a magician named David Cook, who has well more than 25 years in magic. The Title Layman Slayer Project is mainly due to that being the name of his magic shop in San Antonio Layman Slayer and this being his project. If this got picked up I'm not sure if the title of the Show would be that.

Slay,fry,dazzle,blow their minds,freak them out,stun them,baffle them,perplex them,scare them,make them laugh,make them cry,etc....
If that's not entertainment,I don't know what is? This looks great & I can't wait to see it happen,I will be making a donation shortly & I do hope everyone else will too. Mike |

OK guys as you know I am trying to help out a local magic shop with what could be a great idea for a WATCHABLE reality show... I have over 400 friends here even if just have donated a $1 that would add up... If it gets picked up great you donated a dollar. If they don't make the amount then you get your money back... Whats to loose? Help out if you can. Copy all of this and share on your page just once and even that will help.... http://www.indiegogo.com/thelaymanslayerproject
that was for my facebook page and so it goes on here as well. Help out if you can.
