Lol, after reading mostly all these posts about final loads, I thought about have a rubber eye ball appear as the last load (the creppy kind with all the vains and junk) and as the person looks up, you should have one eye closed and say
"O, thanks for finding that for me :P I doubt this is new so don't credit me
when i beat you at your own game, you'll have no place else to turn

Oriental Trading Co. has many things that will fit under cups like the spiders mentioned.

Maybe Mark Trip is doing Malini's act.
Speaking of weird "final loads," when Cleve Haubold (aka Van Cleve) died, he left instructions that his ashes were to be distributed equally among six urns. Each urn was to also be loaded with spring snakes. There were six recipients of the urns. And each one was to be told that he had the urn with Cleve's ashes in it. They were also told that they were not to open the urns under any conditions. Then, at a prearranged time, each was to be told that he did not actually have Cleve's ashes. Hee, Hee, hee!

Not a bad story...magician ARE crazy...
Anyway, doing Malinis act just needs one thing and statement: I AM THE SHOW..

That is true of any magician. If you forget that, you should buy a video player, and let it be the show, instead,

Final load for David Penns Magic Circle winning routine was a large leak abot 12 inches long.
David and I had lots of fun planning that one. His entry was for him to practice for the IBM close-up comp - We knew his routine were good but his win surprised us. Much champers drunk that night. Paula

One of the more interesting load ideas came from Don Alan and one of his books. It was a silk production from the bowl using paper napkins that are found in most restaurants.
The load of silks is in a folded up napkin and the napkin is taped up like a ball. You do the sponge ball and bowl routine or the cup and ball routine and load this ball napkin as in any other load. To produce the silks you take several fresh napkins from the napkin holder pick the cup up using your littel finger to hold the load in the cup. The napkin should be opened up on the table. Put the cup on the open napkin and fold it over the cup twisting it so the napkin covers the mouth of the cup like a drum. Make a hole in the drum and the load and produce the silks... You end clean by pulling out the empty napkin load with the drum napkin and rolling them up and tossing them away. Or vanish it ala Slydini and the paper balls over the head. If you don't like silks use coffie cups and produce dry coffie. Or salt or pepper. Or coins. Ive used it as a chop cup load using tea bags instead of the ball and then produce dry tea for the final load. On a close up mat of napkins that you spread out before you do this effect. This will produce almost any dry small load that you can think of. Also another bowl idea that will work well with a chop cup or any cups and ball routine. I have played with the idea of having a wand with a star on the end of it and then having the star vanish from the wand and then end up under the bowl or cup. Using the chop cup secret to the stars and the wand would be an interesting idea for the chop cup.

Perhaps not terribly weird, but here's a load I found recently.
I was on my way to Michael's craft store to find fake fruit when I decided to stop into Bed Bath & Beyond next door. No fake fruit there, but I did find an Imperial flashing gel ball for two bucks. It's 2 1/4" diameter, made of that funny gel plastic (though not as sticky as some) and lights up with red, blue, green and yellow flashing LEDs when it's bumped. It fits my copper chop cup perfectly, and a slight bump downward dislodges it and starts it flashing. It flashes for about twelve seconds. Hey, an instance where it's okay for a magician to flash! ;^) -Dan |

The wildest final load I have ever used is a duplicate cup. I had the dupe cup loaded witha lemon and I loaded it into the cup, I held the cup in the way you do when making an item too large to fit appear, holding the bottom rim as to not expose the seccond cup lip. I had the cup fall out then I loaded a lemon into the chop cup, and showed both lemons.

Great idea! I just learned that my Bertram/Miller cups fit inside my Gazzo cups perfectly. The beads on both match exactly.
I think I'll have to call it my Cups&Cups and Balls&Balls routine.

Volume #1 of David Regal's book Constant Fooling and volume #2 of his DVD The Magic of David Regal contain his effect Cups & Balls & Cups & Balls in which the final load is a second set of cups and balls.

I was visiting a web site the other day, and they had a set of balls for the cups and balls that were $200.00. I e-mailed them and said, "Brett Sherwood only gets $37.50 for his most expensive set of balls."
The fellow wrote back and said, "Yes, but Brett gets you by the cups."

Larry,
I'd heard of that, but didn't know who it was or what he called it. With a name like David, no wonder he's so smart!

I know what you mean. If "David" appears anywhere in your name, you have to be smart.
