This was just released on Criss Angel's Magic Place site. The demo of "Kinetic Ring" looked really good, so a review form someone that orders it would be great.
http://www.magicplace.com/product/kinetica Sean says: All 3 effects are right from my working repertoire that I use in virtually all of my bar/nightclub/strolling gigs. All 3 utilize the same 'concept' and the same 'gimmick', allowing me (and you!) to perform any of them on a moments notice. I am sure we are all aware of the general 'modus operandi' at work here; however, this isn't the Fearson set up, nor an ITR, or a Loop. It is a very basic set up that allows all of these effects and more. The Kinetic Coin - An incredibly clean looking coin bend. You simply wave your hand over the coin, and it seems to morph and melt. The advantage this has over other coin bends is how visual this is, especially in the eyes of a laymen. This isn't the only coin bend I use, but it is certainly the one they talk about the longest. The Kinetic Bill - The Haunted Bill has been around forever, and it is a great trick. However, the set up limited you to using your own bill. Sure, there are ways to switch a borrowed bill in and out, but why not just find a way to use a borrowed bill? that's what Kinetic Bill allows. You borrow a bill. Cause it to fold into quarters, and hand it back. The fair and open nature of this effect make this a powerful routine to have at your disposal; the responses this gets are grossly disproportionate to the effort it requires to perform. The Kinetic Ring - My personal favorite routine on the DVD. As you have seen in the demo, a ring (can be borrowed) is openly placed on your hand. After a few moments of concentration, the ring eerily stands up. Then it slowly pivots in place, almost hovering above your hand, as if it was caught in a magnetic field. Finally, the ring falls back to your palm, the demonstration seemingly over.... Suddenly, the ring literally flies back onto your finger! It doesn't drop onto your finger. It doesn't slowly crawl back to your finger. It literally flies back on, in a final demonstration of telekinetic ability. The beauty of the routine is how simple it is. There is no movement on the performers part. One set up accomplishes all 3 animations without having to readjust. |

We're also looking forward to the reviews Zombie! Not only are we proud of the effects that Sean presented but also the product as a whole. We've spent the last year ironing out every detail possible when it comes to releasing magic so we're not here for a quick sell...we're in this for the long run.
Sean is a gifted creator and his other new releases are sure to please. We can't wait to show you what's next! MP |

Hey Sean,
Long time no chat, I can see this really working for me as it is a quick yet powerful demonstration of PK that the specs can explain in one sentence... You have a knack of coming up with effects I wish I had thought of myself!! Best, Ben |

We'll be posting performances of the other 2 effects included on the Kinetica DVD tomorrow. It seems that a lot of people thought the only effect included was the Kinetic Ring but there's SO much more. The borrowed bill version of the Haunted Bill is incredible and definitely one of our favorites!

You can now see each of the effects on the Kinetica DVD performed by Sean himself. A lot of people thought that the hovering ring that jumps back on the finger was the only effect but WOW there is so much more! Included now are the clips of the Kinetic Ring, Kinetic Bill and the Kinetic Coin. http://magicplace.com/product/kinetica
Enjoy! MP |

I watcehd the first part of teh DVD, Kinetica Ring. Sean does an superb job in explaining the effect and goes into all of the details very clearly from how to strip the gimmick, to how to set it up and how to perform the effect. The video and audio are crisp and clear. The effect is stunning. I thought it would be so simila to otehr similar effects but the hookup is totally different and unique and simple. Even if yo uare a novice with working with IT, Sean wlaks you through each step and it is easy to set up. It comes with a generous supply of what you need to do the effects. I just starting to watch his Kinecta Bill which uses the very same hookup. IT also looks great. I am very pleased with my first purchase from magicplace. and will look out for their future releases.

Sean,
I just finished watching the 2nd effect, teh Kinetic Folding Bill. It uses the same hook up as the ring effect so you can go from the ring to the folding dollar bill effect right away. The great thing about it is that you can use a borrowed bill without any pre-set up. It is very visual. I also watcehd the Kinetic coin bend. This also uses the same hookup as the other two effects. However, the coin bend will require much more practice and it is the least angle friendly. The ring and bill effects yo ucan do surrounded. With teh coin bend it is menat more for one on one I believe. It also uses a borroweed coin. There is a simple, basic sw...h involved. The cool thing is that after the bend you can show both hands emply. YOu can do this is short sleeves. But it will take practice and is angle sensitive to one side. All in all this is a terrific DVD with 3 really good effects. I just tried the ring effect and I was able to make the ring stand and balance on its edge on my palm before jumping onto my finger. Seeing DVD's like this makes me want to work with stripped IT more rather than a ITR all of the time. I'm a BIG fan of ITR work and love the fact that you are clean before and after doing an effect with an ITR. I was trying to use stripped IT when I watched Shin Lim's "Vanished", but I just don't like it. I can't help but be curious as to how everything is hooked up for the kinetic ring. I probably would pick this up with confidence knowing that Sean Fields would not put out a crappy product. Although some of Sean's past effects like "Sick" do require some getting used to, I feel that the end result will be extremely rewarding. Remember Ladies and Gents, it's the practice and performance you put into the effect that's gonna be the convincer My pre-buy recommendation, give it a shot if you're confident with IT and are willing to put in some practice.

I should also mention tha the IT that comes with the DVD is that of a basic, regular variety. My initial set up broke. I might try making two hookups so if one breaks I would have a spare. But if you feel the need you can certainly use Ventra or your favorite IT. However, the IT that it comes with should be sufficient to use and certainly to practice with since a typical wedding band style ring and a dollar are light enough. But if you are going to use a ring that is thicker or heavier than a wedding band or if you are going to do the coin routine, then I would recommend using a stronger IT like Ventra.
