Looking at my college club list at Mesa Community College, it doesn't look too appealing to me besides the math club.
So, I had an idea. What if I start a magic club? I could focus on basic sleights to throw off any of the people who just want to come for secrets, and the people that progress or already know magic adjust accordingly and help them improve. And people that just want to see how it's done and not practice, probably wouldn't be interested in learning those any way. What do you think about this? Has it been done before? good idea or not? Again, I was just worried that a lot of non magicians would come just to figure out how tricks work. And not really interested in magic as an art. thank you Kevin |

It's probably been done before. Why not do something new: put yourself in a position to learn from those who know more than you. Invite theater people, writers (those who want to write scripts), dancers (people who know how to move). Learn from each other. Set a goal to have some type of performance at the end of the semester. This could be a multi-cultural performance piece. The idea is to learn as much as possible. If you're the guy in charge, you're not going to learn a *** thing - especially if you limit it to magic people. Instead create the perfect environment in an environment where everyone wants to get better at what they're doing and stretch themselves. Good luck!
Everything you do -- everything -- has your signature on it. Regardless of whether you intend it that way or not. And that's how people perceive you.-George Ledo
