Living in Cincinnati, not much usually goes on around here that would attract tourists. Hopefully, that is and will continue to change. If you haven't heard, the World Choir Games are coming to Cincinnati. Basically, this is like the Olympics of singing.

Tons of people...I mean TONS of people from around the world are going to be crawling around the city for two weeks.

This might be my golden opportunity to finally go busking.

What do you guys think? Should I try it? It would be my first time...

I have been thinking, though. If I would be performing for people who live in different parts of the world, I might have to change my act to suit those people. I might not be able to communicate to them in English!

However, I have been thinking about it. Maybe instead of focusing on patter, maybe I should focus on gestures and facial expressions when performing for people who speak differently.

Not only would this be a great experience for me, but I think this would generally help my magic and performing qualities get better.

What do you think? I was thinking of trying it out for a night and seeing how it goes, then maybe giving it a few more nights.

G'day Satelite23

Sounds like a plan - go for it.

Do you have a show set out and put together ready to go and have you checked the local regulations?

You are correct - there is nothing like getting out there and performing to improve what you do.

You may find you get a better response to this discussion if you post in the busking discussion area "The Side Walk Shuffle"
