Cool. This would be very good with Dean Dill's Blizzard or any other effect where you need to do a switch.
Thank you for sharing. Michael

Absolutely fascinating. I hope it is as well constructed as it appears!
My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

This takes a lot of work to get smooth.
I picked one up at the IM convention last year and gave up on it after a month. In particular it's very difficult to ring in from a pocket. It's a fantastic demo item in the way Christian performs it but I'd like to know if anyone is actually using this in a working environment in place of a more basic deck switch.

Looks great has been out at least since last year , have since Christian screw it up at least 3 or 4 times at his stand at International convention and Blackpool . So if he can struggle with it , what about us mere mortals ? Shame as is a fantastic idea . When I say screw it up the whole deck ended up on the deck !

Indeed. Its been out for a while on conventions and also in certain magic shops. Dani DaOrtiz also sells webvideo on the usage of it in his webshop.
It is clever but as stated, it isn't that easy to use. Maybe if it was made millimeter or so bigger and more deep it would be easier to work with under the heat. Now it is rather risky to use without some really serious practise. Juha-Matti |

Hey, nice try, anyway!
I have still not found anything I like better than The Deck Shell by Chazpro! http://www.chazpro.com/servlet/Detail?no=4 Twenty bucks! If ya go that route, get the DVD: http://www.chazpro.com/servlet/Detail?no=6 It really gives ya ideas and different switching methods. Priceless (to me anyway!)! Doug |

This does look really great, but if it's that unreliable, I'd be hesitant to use it in real performance.
Have a look at Juan Tamariz's switches in Mnemonica and Robert Giobbi's articles in Genii on deck switches from last year. Some wonderful, subtle, easy stuff. Also, Tommy Wonder's is hard to beat.
It's all in the reflexes.

I'm surprised to hear this is that difficult to operate. The trailer makes it clear what is going on and it seems pretty straight-forward. Perhaps not?
It's possible they've made some adjustments to the gimmick. |

It is fairly easy to use but its a bit of a knacky thing and appears you could get caught out now and again even after practice IMO

I'm surprised getting "hung up" would be such an issue with this. As long as you have a grip on the box, and deck, and take them straight to your pocket, or where ever, I wouldn't see it being an issue. Of course, at that point you may as well just be using a regular shell.

According to your comments, this doesn't look like to be the best deck switch "ever" at all...

You guys might have seen early versions of it. If Vanishing Inc. has picked it up I would like to think they ironed out any bugs with it.
