How slow can the reel be programmed? Lets say for example could it be used for Scotty York rising card so that it pulls the 3 cards out individually very slowly, having pauses in between the cards? Or is is mainly for animations and such for stage where the speed is such that cards will rise rather quickly without interuptions

So to those who have this was it still worth the cash for this? I have the spider pen pro but was also thinking about getting this.I do know he puts out top notch effects. Is it easy to set up? Is it easy to fix if the thread breaks?
Thanks. MR Effecto. |

Can this be used for the "Rising Tie" effect? Essentially, I'd like to be able to use this to have my tie rise up and down. Thanks!

I got this but it didn't work for what I intented to use it. So people thinking of doing multiple rising card with this. On slower speeds where it would slowly rise the cards the reel doesn't have the strenght to rise em due to friction. And if you add strenght then the cards then to fly out of the glass instead of just rising...
However for levitations and animations it worked extremely well. It is silent, easy to program and use. Also it could be used as any reel but you wouldnt really have to worry up about thread getting too far and break because of the tension. J-M |

It goes over a good body hook up in the D.V.D.

I got mine about a year ago. I also got Venom, a pair of Tarantula 2's, a Spider Pen Pro (broken), Fearson thread bullets, about 100 ft of unstripped Kevlar thread that appears to be pretty invisible "if" you manage to get a single thread and 2 or even 3. It can just be difficult to see and separate 1 strand.
Kevlar is pretty hard to see. Woolly Nylon in a blue or dark purple color can be really hard to see and the strength is good. These reels allow for animations, levitation, haunted packs, and more with the magician at considerable distance from the objects. The Deck TR reel is certainly one of the most well made, here in USA by Sean and company. |
