On a basketball note my nephew is pretty good. He is like the white Larry Bird.

But ESPN ranked the difficulty of 60 sports based on 10 skills. Baseball is most demanding on hand eye coordination, but only ninth overall. Overall, boxing is most difficult. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/sportSkills Curiously, the ESPN list omits cricket, which many claim is more difficult than baseball.

Life is what happens outside while you are busy googling it.
Some people have real experiences that don't involve a computer believe it or not.

I was trying to do you a favor. Looking back at your post now, I see I was mistaken, and that you were actually putting me down. Whatever. FWIW, Danny, I have plenty of life 'outside' as you put it. Have a great evening.

Put a pair of gloves on a boxer and put him in the ring with a baseball player swinging a bat and
see who walks out of the ring. My money's on the baseball player every time. But seriously, mentally challenging tough, the baseball player by far is the toughest. It's not just hand eye coordination, and unlike most sports when it's nonstop action, the baseball hitter must sit and wait his turn while maintaining the perfect mind set. Tom

Boxing is tough because not only the physical challenges, but mentally. Even if euphoniums Ali int jello and he keeps coming at you it rattled you. Every boxer has a plan till they get hit. Mental toughness comes into play to be certain.
I would not presume to say one over the other. Both are incredible.
