We may not be able to take anything with use but we will leave behind life and life will go on. We are part of the story, the never ending story.

But as far as we know sentience is very rare.
I do feel lucky to be part of sentience for a while. With all the non-sentient matter ( and dark matter) in the universe, after we pass through this life, who knows when we (I mean part of our matter or energy) will get another crack at even being alive let alone self awareness. I think I'll go savor thinking about stuff while I can. -Mary Mowder |

It might be a never-ending story for the substance of the universe, but that will far outlive our galaxy.
