Hello Guys,
The coin recommended by the inventor Mark Bendell are not Teflon coated. This is the one that we supply, so it's correct to say that it shouldn't be Teflon coated. Best, Russ - rsvpmagic |

This trick is awesome, I carry it everyday and people just love it. First Walmart has the perfect bag. 100 bags for a buck. Second I use a cheap vinyl business card holder to carry it, ready to go on one side and extra bags with pennies loaded on the other, side of the biz card holder.
Finally it is super easy to do. I like to show the quarter in the bag then drop the penny in, just a personal preference but I feel it ads to the effect. BTW that part is not my idea, got it from the magic warehouse in Baltimore. |

I really like this trick, too. I think it's a perfect close-up illusion.
I use a Lassen '64 Kennedy and a '67 Queen Elizabeth English Penny - both very shiny. The half dollar is a s**t coin, and it is the best gaff of this type that I have ever seen. It could almost be handed out for examination, if necessary. I think "Bag 4 Life" is a great little opener. And, it might lead into a coins across or other coin effect very nicely. That's what I'm working on, anyway. Robert |

The trailer really showed the trick ( thank you Mr. Producer ). Robert M doesn't give a thumbs up on just anything and when he has, I've agreed with him.

Sooooooo, I love this effect and had performed it often since it first came out. Recently I had lost the gimmick and decided to order another one. While the first one was darn near perfect, this one..... well... is not. Has anyone else found their coin a bit sub par now? I sent an email to Penguin, but have heard nothing back from them. (which I know can sometimes take a bit)

This is a fantastic effect....got it today already performed it 4 times and everytime it fried my spectator...this is so deceptive I know that some people are worried that it does not look quite right..the shinier the coin then the more convincing..if you want a easy to do,take everywhere you go type of trick that is going to really fool people then this is it. I have the £2 version but I see there is a 10p version so I definitely want that. Have any of you guys got the 10p ???

I do use this a lot. I decided to get adventurous and perform this outside when the sun was beaming. Well- they never questioned anything about strange looks. I to was skeptical when I first got this a long time ago but I have to say that I have never been called out using this. And I have used it since it first came out! This really is a fantastic piece of magic.

I have to be honest and say I've been busted doing this so many times that I bailed on it. Maybe people were guessing or maybe they just knew. I think the UK £2 is too thick. The 10p version might be more deceptive.
It's a shame because the idea is awesome, it just gets called out for me almost every time. I'm sure it's because I'm rubbish and don't have any audience control etc. But it just doesn't fly with the people I do stuff for |

Wow. I am surprised to hear that people have been busted. It has to be UK coins. Because as I stated I did this in direct sunlight and the people had no idea. In the hundreds of times I have used this I have never been called out on it. I would be interested to hear other UK performers perspective on this.

Did it many many times with a 1 Euro coin and it always worked perfectly. I still use it a lot.

I have not been on here a lot lately. I just found this. Looks good. I like the method. It's something I might be able to add to my kids walk around and leave pennies for them.( Idea: have contact info printed on the little bag...? or that might lessen the effect...not if the print was small...)
Back to the point: Does anyone know if this is available in the USA with the 25c ? Penguin is out of stock. I did see they might get it April 1. I am wondering if the manufacturer changed anything, and if these are a new batch. Or if anyone has one they want to part with, pm me. Must be in perfect new working condition. Thanks! ACE

Late to the party, but I just got this.
One of the best effect I've bought in years, its worth the price tag. Never been caught with it after 50 + performances. Everyone will examine the bag, they will all have the same reaction 100% of the time- " there is a slit in the bag! ". Tip: get the 1 Euro gaff. It is the most deceptive. I don't live in Europe but there is no problem for me using it with euro. |
