The "news" is so distorted and theatrical today that most people would not watch "real news", preferring to switch channels to get something more "entertaining". God forbid we are not entertained...

Wasn't a network that used explosives to show an SUV was dangerous a few years back? Wasn't it a network who selectively edited the Zimmerman 911 tapes to sound worse than they were and got busted?
Wasn't it MSNBC who has Media Matters write the scripts for them? Just checking if that is "unbiased."

Disagree. Misleading as to the size of a crowd at an event is nothing compared to NBC's misleading effort to make Zimmerman look like a racist (which is not to say he isn't, but you can't infer it from that phone call). With a little help from Spike Lee, they could have easily gotten him killed.
