Not going to look Bob. Mainly because you want to out that level of ignorance on a level with what was done to Zimmerman. You attention blind to talk reasonably with if you think that.
As I said I am a commie with no like for Fox, but you are being willfully blind.

No I'm not Danny. You ASKED for some back up so I gave it to you. And, as I predicted to myself, you didn't even bother to look at it. (Which is literally being "willfully blind" if you think about it. If you won't even look at what I cited, what else could you possibly call it?)
Besides, my main purpose was to rile things up a bit. Things got a little quiet after they deleted all of our other good fights. THIS JUST IN-- MSNBC has just launched a new show that airs at noon PST (just before Martin Brasheer). Basically a panel discussion led by a conservative firebrand. (She spent considerable time today arguing against global warming.) Looks like MSNBC is at least making an effort to be a bit more balanced. Oh, if you want other evidence of what is tolerated on Fox and what passes for news there, just look at any segment of Fox and Friends. Easily the most unbalanced and biased program on cable. (Other than Hannity, of course.) Good thoughts, Bob |

Now it is tolerated, I asked you to back up ENCOURAGED Bob. Actively ENCOURAGING the behavior is what I asked for.
As I predicted to myself, you would not back that up.

You can't even admit that MSNBC is at least as bad.

Well, since they don't fire or suspend for that kind of conduct, it certainly does seem that that's the case.
Am I no longer entitle to my own opinions Danny? When do we get to the part where you go over the edge again and start calling me ignorant? |

I think they are all bias but I do not know why they are. Take FOX, just for example, what do they get out of it?

I think it is pretty well understood that MSNBC is easily the most biased news source around. Liberals like Bob just hate Fox because it does so much better and is so much more effective.
Here's proof. http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t=138269 http://blogs.venturacountystar.com/ingem......y-c.html Concerning election coverage: Politico: "MSNBC's election coverage was led by a panel comprised mostly of its opinionated prime-time hosts (Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell, along with frequent contributor Eugene Robinson), with nary a conservative voice in the mix. In contrast, Fox News's was provided by two anchors from its straight-news dayside, Megyn Kelly and Bret Baier, along with a panel that included conservatives like Karl Rove as well as liberals like Juan Williams." Mediate: "Fox News offered a far more balanced set of analysts for the election coverage than did MSNBC." New York Times: "Credit where due, Fox also had a more, well, balanced panel much of the night than its competitor MSNBC. Holding forth from left of center for Fox were the recently-high-profile Juan Williams and Democratic political guru Joe Trippi. MSNBC's main lineup, on the other hand, was basically its center-to-left lineup of nightly hosts: Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell." Hardly a cadre of right wing mouth pieces all giving credit to Fox over MSNBC. Just google MSNBC lies and you'll get over 18,000,000 results so that obviously proves it. In fact, watching MSNBC's rollout of their new theme "Lean Forward" is like watching political ads for Obama. |

You have not been able to do it and seem reluctant to just admit it. I am not calling names Bob. You have an EXTREME bias against Fox and you are just so blinded you can't see anything BUT your own opinion.

When the criticism of this President from the left is represented as often as the criticism of this President from the right for any of these stations, then I'll give some credence to fair and balanced.
The basic rule for mainstream media is that you may not give substantial airing of views that are to the left of the Democratic Party leadership. Hence, once the Dems signed onto the Iraq War, Phil Donahue, who at the time had the highest rated show on MSNBC but vocally opposed the war, found himself summarily pushed out.

Danny-
I appreciate what you are saying, but it is a bit ironic that you call me "blinded" right after stating that you refused to read the links I posted in response to your request for proof. That seems like you are intentionally blinding yourself to any evidence that may run contrary to what you believe to be the truth. I think the fact that FOX does not discourage the sort of conduct that has resulted in firings and suspensions on other cable and network news programs allows the inference that the conduct is, in fact, encouraged. Just look at the comments on the FOX news site to get an idea of the stuff that their fans get rabid about. It's clear to me, at least, that they are just giving their niche audience what it wants. I fully admit that I could be wrong and that FOX might actually be a paragon of truth and accuracy in broadcasting. I also realize that it may well rain frogs tomorrow afternoon it Seattle. But I really kind of doubt it. |

I would never discount the possiblity of frog rain in Seattle. It happened to me once in Gig Harbor. It's not that far.
