Dan Quayle?

Fat finger syndrome typing on my iPhone.

And for my money, Dan Quayle is one of the greatest underrated performers of our time...

Not to get political, but; Oh yes, up there with Stan Laurel and Lou Costello.

The water/gatorade thing. You should drink mostly water, but supplement with some gatorade. A lot recommend 2:1 water to sports drink. I think it mostly has to do with the extra sugars and calories. However, if you out in the sun all day, and I have spent 6 hours out on the pitch sweating the whole time and drank well over 64 ounces of water in that time period and not had to pee a single time. That is some serious sweating. When there are salt stains on your dark clothes, you know you have lost too much in the way of salts and electrolytes. Especially when you down from the sun beating you all day. I don't know what else to say, except listen to your body, try to get a spot in the shade.

Here is a video of me at Summerfest. The good news is, someone was able to shoot some video. The bad News is the video quality is low, and the audio is sketchy at best. Anyway check it out guys and let me know what you all think. Any tips and advice on improvement would be awesome.

Just one more tip. Slow down. You're talking very fast especially during Cups. instinctively you're rushing either because you're nervous or because you want to get to the hat as fast as possible to keep the crowd and hat them.

I think you'll be surprised how much better they respond and how much bigger the crowd will get.

That was one of my own hardest habits to break.

Thanks robert. That is something I have struggled with in all my magic.

Some people just naturally take a deep breath and they're good. For me it was a struggle. It was definitely not an overnight improvement for me.

Yes. Though always dreaming of living in Key Largo. Currently sitting in my hotel in Columbus. OH State Fair opens tomorrow morning. Wired and nervous right now. Unusual for me.

Consider joining a toastmasters club in your area. They can really help with your speech...including your pace. For me it's the dreaded "uummm's". A club like toastmaster really helps because you're given positive and useful critiques. They also do "table toucs" which help sharpen improv skills. They're not for everyone but you can check out a meeting for free. Just find local club and contact them.

Speaking of improv, a buddy of mine works at the local comedy sports(I think it's a national thing) its like a live who's line is it anyway type show. The offer a class that helps you with speech and improv. Cost $180 for an 8 week class. You guys think it's worth the time and investment?
