I personally have no ethical problem with what people are calling "the vigilante solution". I said in another thread that I think that political sovereignty only finds its legitimacy in government by consent. In this case, the community has not given its consent to the law in question. It is an illegitimate law, and can be ethically violated. So I would say, "Round up the posse...."

I'm against capital punishment for practical reasons, but in this case--in which we do not have legal recourse to penal institutions--I'd make an exception.

If we conclude that it's OK to take out this individual because he's killing children from his house. Is it then OK to take out doctors who conduct abortions and thus are killing fetuses from their offices?
