Do any of you guys recall a version of The Haunted Deck-in the 70's whereby some powder was placed below the chosen card?
Then when the deck was put on the table or floor it slowly swung open due to the powder! Does anyone know the NAME of this Powder or Did this effect have a name? Many thanks Guys Allen Tipton UK

Sorry I can't recall the name but I do know that Ken Brooke sold it. I never saw it advertised but I bought it from him during a visit at his studio.

I think there's an old trick in Close up Card Magic by Harry Lorayne that uses salt for this.

Couldn't you take old salt tricks, and apply that? Just thinking out loud.

Alan is correct. This will work much better than standard type salt as it gives a rolling type of effect as its rounded not granular. Good for haunted deck, card locations etc.
