X- act is great, watched Mark demo and sell many of these at the Genii bash. I of course bought one and was not disappointed.

It's a great method and I've had much use out of mine.

I have to agree it is a very clever method and well thought out. I thought the effect had similarities in a round about way to the Mike Rose holy grail but with mechanical help if some of you are already familiar with the holy grail "gold editon."

Yep, Magringo and Saysold1, I agree... X-Act is essentially and practically the same as Think by Shin Lim... Pretty cheeky of penguin to double-up like this... par for the course for dealers?
I hope Shin Lim is aware of this doubling-up. Maybe somebody will ask Greg Rostami from Penguin for his view....Greg will be 'Live' on this site (Magic Café) this Sunday. |

I know...i know....not a good way to shop for magic.

There was a 2 of hearts at position 6 too in the demo. Looks to me like Think or the Grail.
$45 seems a lot for the same effect. MHO Patrick |

This is a great effect you will not be disappointed if you buy it , its easy and a very strong effect . My only slight annoyance is that my f---e cards are probably the 2 most obvious cards in the deck so it seems daft they would send it out like that . Yes I could change them all but shouldnt have to . Hard not to notice the queen of hearts flying around on the counting process .

The way he dumps out the card looks a little suspicious as well. I have never been caught using the Grail or Think. So I do not suppose that the layman will notice it on this trick either. |

It's surprise me to read this all. I have the effect done, and I don't see the magic at all. It's not clean, most of the time you can't show the box. And you have to hide something. I really surprised that (names) this trick called clean. It's not clean for me (enough)
For sure is this kind of magic not my thing. |

Frustrates me that even though this trick is almost self working people don't spend the time practicing and learning basic nuances that render this a miracle . I guarantee you I would slay the audiences you are struggling with ( and even you before you knew the method ) , and I am an amateur but know you get nothing for nothing in magic without practice and presentation .If you are new to magic and you think this is poor then you have a rocky road ahead my friend good luck |

I 'm totaly agree with you about practising and the self working trick. But the method disappointing me. You cant't always showing a empty Box. Of course I can present it with flair! But it isn't what I expected. May be do I have more expecting for Mark (great Guy) then is posible.
