Hi Ray,
It sounds like you hit a home run with your stage version performance. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see the audience's reaction when you made the final reveals. Congratulations! Regards, Steve

Nice touch that the U.K. version has a James Bond theme. As luck would have it I'm booked for a James Bond themed birthday party on New Year's Eve.

I love this, I've used it a couple of times today and it is so versatile. For UK users you have so many routes you can go down it really lends itself to jazzing. I've only just started to scratch the surface. There is even one route that allows you to let the spectator decide which letter to work with on one of the words. I've really been having a lot of fun with this. When I get the chance I'll send some ideas accross to Steve.

Hi Mark,
I'm glad you've been taking TAC out for a spin. I'll look forward to your ideas. I've received a few more since the first supplement, and would like to get more so that I can justify sending out a second supplement Regards, Steve

Hi All,
A number of people have PM'd me over the past few weeks to ask if there is any video of TAC. Until now, the answer was "no," but robwar0100 has just posted a link to his performance down in Inner Thoughts. Regards, Steve

Steve, add me to the list of extremely happy and excited users. Talk about taking an already great concept and running with it, Wow! I knew it would be good since I have used the concept before, thank you Mr. Quinn, but this is really a slayer now.

Hi David,
Thank you for the kind words and I hope you slay many I'm nearly finished with the preparations of a second supplement to Thought Association Card and hope to send it out by the end of the week. It contains some great new subtleties, ideas, and routines contributed by the following: Atlas Brookings Adam Flemming Mike Draganic Bill Fritz Laurence Hookway Mr. Houdini Laurence Morland Ray Noble Joshua Quinn Vince Smith John Taylor Bobby Warren Stephen Young “Anonymous” As an extra bonus in the supplement, Atlas Brookings has created a special TAC-based routine within his "The Real Thing" book test that is EXCLUSIVE to those who have "Thought Association Card." I'm very excited about this and I think TAC users will be as well. If you haven't read about "The Real Thing," check out the following: http://www.themagiccafe.com/forums/viewt......orum=303 Regards, Steve

I know that my name is on this list, but I am quite excited to see what others have done with this principle. There are some clever people named as contributors and the more I look at "Thought Aasociation Card", the more I think that it is the best value for money in Mentalism.
What does it cost? $15 - ridiculuously inexpensive for what you get. In fact, since the real end result that any performer is paying for is the ability to convey a sense of amazement and wonder, let me assure anyone reading this that this little card honestly and consistently does just that. I performed this at a New Years gig and two old society ladies both crossed themselves while spewing explicatives. I didn't expect THAT. And to keep getting supplements full of cracking ideas from so many other clever clogs in the industry? It isn't hard to see why so many mentalists declared this their best purchase of 2012. Best, Atlas |

Hi All,
The second supplement to Thought Association Card is completed and I've just finished sending the manuscript out to everyone. If you haven't received it yet, please look in your "junk" or "spam" folder (this has happened a number of times before). The file is a little over 3MB, so if your email provider has a limit on attachments and it didn't come through, let me know and I can send a PDF of just the second supplement. I would like to again thank all the contributors to the second supplement and to all the TAC performers who have shown so much support and have shared their experiences with me. I know you'll enjoy the ideas and presentations in the second supplement and will likely incorporate several of them in your presentations. Regards, Steve

What a nice surprise to receive this in my email! I'm really enjoying the new material, particularly the idea with the fingers and the new back with the barcode. Awesome stuff. Thanks again!

Well, I received the supplement and have read through it. I am flatly impressed. Each contribution to this was useful and I am impressed by the thinking, every bit of which is workable.
Whoever that anonymous contributor was - I like what you came up with very much! Both from the front design of the card, to the method by which the number is chosen, that is some fine thinking! Laurence Morland, GREAT idea! I love the introduction of the business card here, it is such a simple idea but will guarantee that the card is kept and looked at. Joshua Quinn, fantastic substitution there - I plan on using it, and I think this sort of thing serves to demonstrate that this can easily become a 'jazz' type of performance where improvisation is a byword. Stephen Young, I will never - NEVER - let you show me anything when we finally shake hands. I don't feel safe. A short paragraph from John Taylor contains incredible potential. The means of getting them to come up with the word on their own is both subtle and crafty. Mike Draganic's ploy is as clean as you can get and makes for a great anytime, anywhere, ungimmicked book test! This is another one that I will use. Laurence Hookway. Sickening. I ran this one successfully all day today. It is just so implausible that it is sickening. HOW could THAT possibly work?!? And how could anyone think of that! This was just plain amazing - that's all I am going to say. And, of course, Ray Noble's work sparkles (I know him a little bit, and I suspected it would). I personally loved 'The Stream of Thought'. This is a fantastic supplement, worthy of a lot of attention, and I look forward to seeing what other ideas come from Steve's TAC! Best, Atlas |

Hi Atlas,
I posted this in Mentally Speaking, but it bears repeating here: You are dead-on with your descriptions of the contributions for the second supplement (but too modest to mention your own wonderful contribution... the "crossover" with TAC and your own "The Real Thing" Book Test is just too cool). I have Anonymous' card front on my "gender-friendly" version in my wallet and it works like a charm, and, yes, Laurence Hookway's idea is nearly unbelievable that it works (I'm thinking about presenting it with an "Illuminati" background story). I'm very interested to hear what other TAC performers think of the second supplement and hope they will add their comments to the discussion. If Stephen Young's idea is any indication of other ideas that get sent in for a third supplement, we're ALL in for a treat! Regards, Steve

I got TAC this morning and I had a quick look at the method. I had to laugh as I was reading it because I knew how and where it was headed, and it was a very nice thing.
You will need to use this with adults (in my opinion) though, and probably not all of them will get it. Sorry, but I truly believe that the knowledge that people in this country possess has headed south very quickly. That is not a knock on TAC, though. It is good. I like it, and I will use it. I'll have to be careful about the people that I perform it for, though! |

Hi BatsMagic,
Yes, you do need to select your volunteers with a little care these days. However, I've only encountered a few who've had trouble when using the "gender-friendly" version, and found that allowing those individuals to "use a lifeline if necessary" was sufficient to bring the routine to a successful conclusion. Bobby Warren posted a performance in which he had to do just that. You can see it here: http://youtu.be/w4xaFFf9lH0 Regards, Steve
