Just to clarify, does 'anytime anywhere' mean that you could perform this on stage with a spectator chosen at random? Or that you could perform it at every table in a banqueting hall with different people?
If the participant has to be a specific person who the performer has picked out in advance, then this would be a very easy effect to achieve. But if it's suitable for professional performing conditions and you can use any randomly chosen spectator with a bank note, then it would be seriously impressive. |

I hooked up with Dave Penn earlier to discuss a couple of things and he performed Serial for me, I hadn't seen the video or anything, so didn't know what to expect.
Well, it fooled me. To be honest, it killed me. This is a REAL workers routine. Everything the guys are saying is true, it is genuinely impromptu, there's no pre-show, you don't touch the note, nothing. There is a TINY bit of dirty work, but it's done in the flow of the routine and because of the way the routine is structured and the psychology employed, there's NO WAY that they could catch anything. The method is as good as the effect. It's easy, it works every time and it takes up no pocket space. If there ever was a serial number reveal that was perfect, Serial is the one. You can quote me on that. I'm buzzing - I can't wait to work it!! Nice work Tom!!

Can you just confirm then that dirty work is done in the actual unedited demo we see or is it done off camera before or after ? Thanks for any help

Based on DP's statement above that "nothing is hidden" in the unedited performance clip, and based on DeeChristopherMagic's statement that there is a tiny bit of dirty work, logic would lead me to believe that the tiny bit of dirty work is, in fact, incorporated into the unedited performance clip. Am I missing something?

Tom/ Dave, I assume that this is a totally different method to Matt Mello's Serial effect.
Especially as you reviewed it a while back on WPR

I gotta say this is a very clever effect. The psychology and routining and overall devilish ness (if that's a word). Is genius. This is right up my street.
A real world worker. And impromptue. Tom. Love it mate. Anyone that does not enjoy this. Is crazy. Cause the thinking behind it is, well dare I say it again,,,,,,,,,,genius!!!!! Well done mate. ;0).
