I was wondering if there is a type of gaff or altered/modified deck that is in either new deck order or in a specific type stack, that when shuffled by a spectator; after a few cuts or shuffles can easily be put back into order?

You could play with a stripper.

I was thinking about using multiple types of work like a stripper, concave, belly, short card(s), etc... I guess that would help me at least separate the suits but not sure if there’s a way to get them back in exactly new deck order or even a specific stack.

If I understand the Rama deck, it doesn't keep the deck in full order, just certain cards and limited in the way the spectator shuffles (no overhand shuffle). But I do like the concept of multiple work put in to the deck. Just need a way to be able to put it back in new deck order after a few shuffles or cuts.

What is it you're trying to do? Is it essential the spectator shuffles?
Two alternatives would be to learn a false shuffle (have a look at Lennart Green for this as he keeps a new deck order for a lot of his work)or to do a deck switch after the spectator shuffles. |

Mainly just trying to keep the deck in a specific order. It's not "essential" for the spectator to shuffle, but if a spectator wanted to, it would be nice to be able to take the deck back - do a few shuffles/cuts to get the deck back into its original order.
Yes, my last resort would be to do a deck switch. Just thought there might be a gaff deck out there, that can have an "instant reset" of its order. |

If you only needed part of the deck to be in the same order you could use an effect similar to "An instinct for cards" effect under the riffle shuffle tricks section of The Royal Road. The trick keeps 13 cards in the same distribution throughout the deck with two riffle shuffles, and with a stipper you could strip them and place them back on top. Just a thought.

Anybody remember the name of the deck that has long force cards glued at the end to regular cards?

A deck shell could do the job.
