It's a little long 3 min or so, but the end result was great as well as the gasps. It was my first live performance of this effect, which was in front of about 80-90 people. Enjoy... http://youtu.be/p7oxfqFBJdY

Well done. However, I would suggest a few things:

Assuming that they really are, show the other three cups to be completely empty. Nothing spectacular, just lift them up and show the insides to the audience.

Also, keep the patter flowing. Hype it up, make it sound more dangerous than it really is. This would add suspense and make the effect seem quicker than it really is. Honestly, it just seemed to kind of drag on because of the lack of patter.

I agree hype it up better. I also perform this effect, what I didn't like about your routine is you touched the cups after they were mixed up. I am not sure which verson you are performing but after the spectators mix the cups, the only time I touch them is when my hand is slamming down on them. Overall nice job. I use devils nail 2.0 by the way.

Thanks for the input. Agreed, I do need to make it more dramatic. Touching the cups after being mixed should not be an issue because they are numbered and the audience calls out which cup to hit next. The main reason that I touched the cups was due to the small table that I had access to at the moment. In the future a bigger table will be used. I greatly appreciate the comments and will post another video after I work out my routine.

I also perform this effect, so I feel I can offer my insight...

I was not familiar with the method but my guess was that it has something to do with the sharpie marker as after they're mixed, you're writing numbers on the cups. Would seem to make more sense to write them on the cups prior to that one moment, so in my brain, I'm assuming that the marker is part of it...but I could be wrong. Don't know if a laymen would think that or not. I still enjoyed the routine, just my 2 cents...

Thanks Christopher. The sharpie's only in the effect to number the cups, no ulterior motive. Perhaps, the second mixer/helper should write the numbers...Greatly appreciate the feedback.
