My Engraved Brass cups and Jade/gold balls came in the mail today, right to my door.
What can I say that has not already been said about Brett Sherwood's cups and balls. NowI know why every one gives them such a great rap ,even my Wife gets it now! I decided to go with the Engraved Brass because they seemed to have much more engraving for the same money as copper, and I think the pattern on the Brass is much nicer to look at.Also Brass is a much stronger metal than copper,so I think Brass will take the wand tapping a bit better.(not that I will be wacking them hard)

I have two new wands coming in the mail
Tango, silver tips all aluminium. Bazar da magica, silver tips plastic. My hard wood and brass tipped wand is just way to heavyt to use with my new cups so I will choose between the new wands when they get here. Like Jim says the cups sure are Saaaaaweet!

These cups are beautiful.
The engravings prevent the reflection of palmed balls under some angles. I just regret that Sherwood doesn't make sets where the cups engravings would intricate the 18th century engravings reproducing the positions of magicians' hands as they appear on Guyot or Decremps. The audience would not notice it, but we would have specific collectors' items which purpose could not historically be confused with any other sort of cup. Let's pray that Mr Sherwood will read this and see the marketing and historical potential of it.

Custom engravings would be nice indeed if magicians could supply their own design to the engravers: very few people can do that and the ones that could would probably have a problem in affording their dream or being prepared to invest sufficiently in it. The point that I was making was for James Sherwoood to keep making high standards cups that would go down in history as unarguable magicians' cups but, under performance, would just look like (what they are now) extremely nice silver cups (or gold ornamented cups.)

Pride of ownership. I got it when I got my aluminum RNT-II Montie cups. Bye plastic!
