My last post (Inner Thoughts) posed the question "Who is Pete Turner". At the time I had no idea where or what my one man mission would lead.

I'm happy to report that my quest was not in vein, coming out of the other side I managed to purchase a copy of his limited edition books which now sits proudly on my bed side table waiting to be read for the tenth time. Each read delivers me some new subtlety or nuance that I somehow missed upon the previous read. I'm sorry to have to report that I may have purchased his last copy.

Now for those of you who think I'm hear to tease you about something you can no longer get please read on as I have some exiting news for everyone who missed out on this so please read on. (Anyone sensing a competition on the horizon?).

Off the back of my investigation I heard that Peter was planning a "Confession" session with Ken Dyne (See: Pete Turner Confessions Thread). I then hatched a plan to bring him up North so that I could pick his brains in person and I'm happy to say he took the bait!

Just over a week ago I picked up the main man himself from the train station and escorted him to the Magicbox store with the lure of a free cup of tea. We had a great time chatting in store and I even managed to impress him with a few of my own thoughts (He was probably only being complimentary to be nice). With my devious plan in action I suckered him into staying the night and we went for a quiet chat in the center of Newcastle with the sun blazing down upon us.

During the next half hour I was witness to several effects which fooled me badly, some of which I had read in his book and others that were just down right devious. I even resorted to bribing him for a few methods as they were driving me insane much to Peters delight.

Returning to the shop Peter offered help to our very own Gill who was struggling with an effect and even though Peter was unfamiliar with the workings he was able to offer constructive advice much to the amazement of my business partner and in this instant she became an instant fan. Peter is willing to take the time to help and advise, he is very easy to get along with and cares a lot about everyone in his presence and this is just a small part of his enviable personality.

Pete then left the store for the afternoon to catch up with Ken and after he had left everyone, staff and customers alike were all marvelling at his demonstrations. We all agreed to put the final stage of my plan into action. Catching up with him at the close of business we took Peter out for a meal and then amidst many more fantastic demonstrations we proposed that he allow us to shoot a DVD with him.

The remainder of the night was spent throwing some thoughts between us until we settled on an agreement that we were both happy with. That's right folks Peter Turner has a DVD in the pipeline!!!!!

Now it is early days but Peter has kindly allowed me to share a little information on this project:

This DVD will be a very limited run somewhere between 200 and 250 copies.
Each of the DVD's will be signed and numbered.
We hope to have this project finished in time for Christmas.
Purchasers will be given access to further updates regarding the material from the DVD in a way that will also serve to protect their investment.
The material upon the DVD is yet to be finalised however I can say that the material will suitable for both the stage and close up performer. It will concentrate heavily on propless mentalism and for those who thought the Portugal video was great lets just say you have seen nothing yet!!!
Asides from the routines Peter will be giving deeper insights into the subjects he touched upon during his Confession with Ken.

Needless to say this is not going to be your run of the mill DVD, from the contents to the production to the box, this is going to be something that you will be proud to own and will watch again and again, each time learning something new to take your routines to greater heights!

Now for those who have taken the time to read this post so far we would like to host a little competition where one of you lucky readers will get a chance to win the very first copy of the finished DVD and you will even get the opportunity to name the DVD itself!. The theme we have chosen for the DVD is Angels vs Demons (Light vs Dark).

To enter the competition we are looking for a clever catchy title and all you need do is post your entry (DVD title) in response to this post and once we have collected enough to choose from we will nominate a winner from within the group!
