Hello community,
Ive recently been looking for a new method of doing the interlock single card production, I've have for a couple of years been working with the version of the interlock which is discribed by Jeff McBride in "The Art of Card manipulation Vol 3" but was blown away by this performance http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0r0rZKvSFoA (at around 2.43). So I decided to ask you, the community, for advice on the technique for this beautiful sleight. or anything similar. Best regards Eric |

This is original with him. No clue as to the positioning.

I see. At any rate it looks fantastic, could someone be so kind as to give me directions to the other methods of doing the interlock card production besides the Walter gibson method?
happy for any reply, Best regards Eric |

I am not familar with what Walter Gibson discribes.
The original that most professional use like Norm Nielen is Tenkai, discribed in his book. Then there is Cliff Green discribed in his book, although they say there is an error. Then there is Jeff Sheridan, who does a version of Cliff Green, is on his DVDs by L&L Publishing and his other set of DVDs. Then there is Vic sendix method is discribed in Apocalipse Magazine that has been coverted to books. If you are intested in obtaining some instructions on the Interlock Card production, you can PM me. |

Hi Eric:
There was also a booklet by Earl Ray Wilcox (published by Hades, I think) that dealt with the Interlocked Production. I never bought it, but always enjoyed watching Early Ray Wilcox do the interlocked production. I agree...the South Korean performer who won FISM Stage does a masterful job at the Interlocked Production. Ron |

Earl Ray Wilcox method is the Tenkai version, with a little more explanation of presenting it with a fan finale. The book also explaines his horizotal Pop-Up move from the interlock. It tells some other ideas as well with coins.
Richard Kauffman covered coins and balls completely in his book, published many years ago. "The Inter-Lock with Cards and Coins" by Earl Ray Wilcox was published by Lee Jacobs Productions, not Mickey Hades Publications. It cost $15. Lee Jacobs has been out of business for some time. His wife was to carry on the business, but it has been totally silent for many years. The posters he use to print and sell are on the market from time to time, but no idea where they are coming from in this new magic market of steal what you can. |

Denny Haney carries the Earl Ray Wilcox manuscript.

This is NOT interlock technique. It is a new technique created by Lukas, who happens to be the teacher of Yu Ho Jin, also Korean. This technique requires a lot of stage setup such as lighting and clothing. They have very specific requirements. I don't advice you to copy this move due to two reasons. First this is other people's idea, it is their signature move, second, this CANNOT work in normal show conditions.

I figured as much. I did drawings of his hands and the only conclusion I came up with was what you had mentioned. I came up with something that looked similar but was not it of course.

On a side note I thought his cascade of single cards from the finger tips at 4:14 was also very unique. At least new to me. Fact is the entire act is unique. Without question one of the most beautiful six minutes of magic you'll ever see.

I was in the same search like you ...
the method is so beautifull and not dificult but yes it needs lot of prepaeration I'm not in the position to tip the workings but there is someone on the magic Café that knows everything about it since he was involved in sershing and improving it I know he must read this and if he wish he might jump into a clue ... there is something close to get you on the track in the SYSTEM dvd by lukas .by the dvd its great . |

The interlock production that Yu Ho Jin uses, is invented by Lukas. There is 1 card variation in his DVD Artist System. Yu Ho Jin's Single card production can be learned in An Ha Lim's DVD Monster 1980.

You relly should see Michael Lee 's Version of thr interlock Cardproduction ( Way CLEAN ! )
he demod it at the IBM meeting w/ Victor Sendex, Sendex said Lee's method was far superior to what he created. I understand Michael Lee is a Student of Jeff Sheridan's. magic123 |

I am more interested in how he change color of his fan a few times and how he can produce different color of fans with his arm opened like that

Are you meaning split fans with colored cards? You just need to learn where to split it. The color change is pretty simple, just look at some basic card moves.
