Michael.
Being big has nothing to do with hand strength. Strength is specific. It's actually very easy to get your hands and fingers super strong. James Quote: On 2012-10-10 17:52, Michael Peterson wrote:

Dear Michael & lunatik
That was a great review, may I ask what's the angle like? Is it as "hidden" / clean as quantum? Because so far I have kept my bending fairly clean and I don't wanna waste money on something that I can't perform up close. Thanks for your insight!

The angles are great. I am thinking that you could get away with this when people are standing behind you. You would just have to be a little more careful. As Mike said, I did this at a living room gig, first I did Flexion by Jon Allen then this. Let me tell you, what a reaction! I really love this. HIGHLY recommended!!

Hey guys!
Thanks for all of your comments on Element 80. This is Jason Reed from Precept Magic. I would just like to say a few things about some of the comments that I have read. I have been bending metal for many years now and I have used many different benders out on the market. What makes Element 80 stand out is the QUALITY of the devise and that it will last. I have noticed that most benders will fall apart over time and it can cause items to slip out in a performance. Element 80 is designed to lock in items better so that they will not slip out. As far as the angles, I have performed it fully surrounded. Although I find it works best when you can manage your crowd in front. When the devise is in your hand it is virtually invisible and with practice you will find that it is very easy to manage. I am surprised to hear that many of your keys are not working. I would encourage you to try the twisting method and make sure you are working with the teeth of the key. I have not found that many keys that don't work with the E80. As far as the E80 as a coin bender... I remember when I first started out bending forks and I was not able to do all of the bends. If you have ever tried Liquid Metal then you will realize that the moves will take you a little bit because you have to build your hand strength. E80 is the same concept. Once you have built up your strength you will be fine. This effect DOES require practice. If you do not currently perform any metal bending then it is worth learning. I have performed all over and I can say without a doubt that Element 80 is the one trick in my routine that leaves the strongest impression. What is great about Element 80 is that in the end, you are able to give away the physical proof of the miracle that your audience witnessed. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to check these posts on a regular basis. Thanks! -Jason Reed Element 80 Creator Precept Magic |

Yes, coins are harder to do but I was able to bend a quarter as soon as I got the gimmick. My thoughts are how the audience reacts and in all the times I've used this the reactions have been incredible and I have never been caught with the gimmick. Different strokes for different folks. I've always respected your opinions RNK. I think the majority of people who pick this up will not be able to do the coin bend. If a person is as strong as yourself, it might fit. But I'd sure hate for you to shake my hand, I'd get a stump back!

Maybe, I just can't tell how hard it would be. But in all honesty, The key and fork bend are superb. Well, the key may be a little difficult too. But I truly love the gimmick and when performing this- it just seems that misdirection is totally built in because the specs examine the fork/coin/key before and after leaving ample time to ditch. And, especially with the key, the specs have "freaked out" after I used my SMSTPT--->"Special Mental Super Twisting Power Thoughts" to forever alter their signed key! To give credit to Jason - he does mention in the DVD that the coin bends will take a little practice and in time you will get better at it. I just can't believe Craig Petty gave it a 65% or low 60's%! Dave on the other hand gave it an 80% which is where I would be, actually probably more like 85%. RNK
