Hey Devious... does he work Tempe? There was another guy on pitch Friday I saw that looked almost exactly like Warpo. I was driving at the time, but I could swear it was him!

Hey ease up on imgic. That post was in no way a reflection of his character.

I apologize...I was up late working; was crabby when I took break to browse the Café. First thing I noticed on picture Devious had originally had up was the teeth, and I made a cheap comment (it seemed funny at 2 am). You all are right: didn't add to the discussion nor was reflection of his character. Viewing the video, Warpo has got much better chops than I'll probably achieve.
Also love the idea of his table...it has a band of elastic over the top to hold down cards, sharpie, and other props...ingenious! Apologies all.

All good imgic...I've said way worse not meaning too. Warpo is a close friend....I may have been a bit defensive.....
As for his show, his street show is as much about the humor as it is about magic....one funny guy.... |

In a Ross McRae ballycast the late S. David Walker, the Svengali pitchman, talks about the early days. He tells a story about a beautiful girl he had working for him. One fellow noticed her and kept chatting her up.
David approached this man and asked him what he did. The fellow said he was a comedian. David asked if he was working. The answer was no. David immediately recruited him to pitch cards. That unemployed comedian became a great Svengali pitchman and street magician. If you haven't guessed by now, that fellow was Warpo. |

Nice show, great humor, super handling of the PN, and loved his "color monte" using the signed card (would have liked to see the actual ending but then I probably would have ripped it off!). He transitions well between tricks and keeps the chatter unending. Best of all, for me, I didn't feel like I'd seen the act a dozen times before performed by different folks, he's not a clone. It is clear he has chops and that he's learned on the streets by doing. Good show by a talented guy!
The elestic band holder is clever. I've used the idea since seeing a Renaissance Fair magician in the mid 80s (forget his name - He was a black magician) using it. It just made so much intuitive sense! I was like "Duh! Oh course!" I ran home that night and rigged thin diameter Bungie cords across my table (it's what I had and I'm a cheap rotter). Mota that was a great story.

Some folks asked about Warpo's table. He took the time to show
the improvements to the table's look and how it quickly sets up. Warpo's Table Warpo's Closer |

WARPO is one of my dearest friends. When folks ask me about his show I always say the same thing..."it's Warpo man...and that's all I can say about it."
Also the best pitchman in the world. |
