You might want to PM Angelo, ask him about where to get them.
He might be able to tell you how to make your own.

They are versions, very bad quality, wich are not real Tenyo and other one wich are real Tenyo. If there is the Tenyo logo on back of package with "made in Japan" it's the same props as original Tenyo.
At the time I have buy one Bird Watcher from Eddy's Magic and quality was catastrophic. This one was a fake. I think that In fact Tenyo attacked Eddy's magic because they sold counterfeit item. Then the two companies have reached an agreement and now Eddy's Magic sells trick really produced by Tenyo. |

Judging by the photo I don't think it was a fake.

I believe Eddy's purchased the rights (and molds) for some older Tenyo items and has been legitimately manufacturing and selling them.

Does Eddy's magic (which I believe is situated in Hong Kong?) still manufacture tricks that he purchased rights/molds from Tenyo like Mini Morphosis?
Interesting to know that Tenyo sold (sells?) rights/molds so another company can produce the same quality (more or less because the synthetic material used isn't 100% the same perhaps) effects that have been discontinued by Tenyo. Anyone interested in remaking Ultra Tube's or Mirage's ? |

If they bought the molds then another Japanese company made them perhaps? Or did Tenyo reproduce them for Eddy's which I would find pretty strange ... ?

This is what really happened with Eddy's and Tenyo.
Eddy's was merely a big distributor for the Tenyo items, the outer boxes were re-branded for the Hong Kong market. The Tenyo items inside are identical and were imported from Japan. They all came with English instructions. How do I know all this? I worked there in 2001. Eddy's had their own stores also some were operated from specialized stands inside Toys'r'us stores. I still have in my possession a brochure introducing the range, showing the point of sales displays etc, my uniform, and a photo of the stand. Eddy's sold their own range of standard items(similar to Adams or Royal magic), and the Tenyo range was marketed as a high end range. Now, yes there were counterfeit ones around shortly after, they were made by chinese toy companies trying to capitalize on Eddy's success with the Tenyo range, naturally with the poor plastics hardly any of them worked. I had customers bring them in asking me how to make it work, I told them it's fake, they were about 1/4 of the price to the real Tenyo. Regards, Simon |

Thanks for the info Simon.......finally I bought the item on the auction site......so as soon as I receive it I will let you know if it's fake or not.......If it has the Tenyo word engraved on the prop I think it should not be fake......and I also I will realize that based on the quality of the plastic and construction...

I have the Mini Morphosis and can not get the curtain to work cleanly. It seems as thought I have to make a few passes and hope the magnet catches. Does anyone else have this problem and if so have they found a solution?

Perhaps you can replace the magnet with a stronger Neodium-type?
