I am adding a video page to my site.
It is only accesible through the following link at this time http://www.chadsanborn.com/videos.html Please watch them, and let me know what you think. Most of it is coins, but their is a mental piece and a floating piece. Chad |

Hey, some of zhis stuff is really great. And the floating ring is really floating. This is more than you can say of MOST floating routines today, even from famous magicians. Keep it going.
PS: Willing to share some information on your floating ring handling?

I did like the spoon bend. I'm assuming you are giving the illusion of it bending in your hand by pushing down on the bowl of the spoon a little and then actually bending it on the way up to show that it has "bent". I loved that touch. I am a little curious about the last part where it bends without you touching it. ARe you doing anything different there than the other 2 or 3 times you are giving the illusion of a bend?

You can find a full write up of Chad's floating ring routine and his charming presentation in AM/PM issue #3.
http://www.AMPMmagazine.com Chad has some really unique touches to his magic that are diabolical. |

AM/PM? How can I get a hold of that? Is there anything about the optical bend as well?

The file format is "Windows Media Video." You might have to upgrade to Windows Media Player 7.1 to view these videos, and you can upgrade here. Hope this helps!

Yeah, thanks... I'm on a Mac so I don't go sniffing for updates for software from THEM that often... Will now...

A Mac user. Tsk, tsk, tsk. I'm sorry you have not yet seen the light "streaming" through the "window." Just kidding! Glad I could help you out.

I use windows machines as well. Just not at home. And I didn't choose the Mac I ended up with here. It's a sluggish fool with a heart of gold and a really sad look whenever I tell it I'm getting rid of it. So I keep it as a memento of lots of different girlfriends I've had throughout the years....

Ya know you can rename them as mpg files and they are a lot smaller files. Then it will work on more media devices.

Windows Media Player works just fine on a Macintosh.
Just click once on the Windows movie file and hold down the mouse , then select "Download Link To Disk" from the drop down menu that appears. Once the Windows Media movie file downloads then use Windows Media Player to open it and view it. Easy. The other thing you can do is already have Windows Media Player open , then go to the web page with the Windows Media Player movie clips. Click on the clip you want to watch and when the page with all the gibberish opens up (gibberish to Macs, that is ) simply use the Edit menu to Copy the URL of the page from the address/location line of the browser, for instance : http://www.chadsanborn.com/videos/ring4.wmv then using Edit you can Paste the URL directly into the Windows Media Player ("Open URL") and it will start to play. |

Hey Chad!
Just checked the videos out after I installed the new version of WMP for Mac... Let me say I like them. Especially the spoon and the ring. Good stuff indeed, and it has me scratching my head. /bambaladam |

Okay, Chad, so are you going to write up the optical bend anywhere?

The spoon bend is great work. The optical part of it is an inversion of the classical bowl drop (for lack of a different name). Good idea.
Regarding the video format, .wmv will provide compression far better than .mpg. The WMV format uses the latest incarnation of Microsoft's MPEG-4 compression, while mpg is just MPEG-1 compression. The latter is far more compatible but at the same time the compression and quality is not as good. -Alain Bellon |
