I did this 5 times last night. I was not working but had a rare Friday night off.
As I was going for a few drinks I thought I would put it to the test and took the gimmick, a lighter and a bit of flash paper and of course some ice. About an hour after I went out I tried it(un rehearsed as the mechanics are very simple to do)and the effect on people was great( L & L audience type reactions). One thing people may want to bear in mind is that everywhere where they sell drinks has an ice bucket. I took 2 pieces of ice out with me and after producing them and dumping them, I just asked for a couple of pieces of ice at the bar. In other words you don't really have to take ice with you. Just get it when you arive at where you are working. Very pleased with this. It's easy to do,easy to get into & reset and has a reputation making effect on people.I will use this tonight. Does it matter about the type of ice for the holder...ice cube tray like versus the long crescent kind from automatic ice makers?

Hi guys on the DVD I talk about the size of the ice I use a small square Tupperware container and fill it about half way best to use your judgement for this they are avaliball in Wilkinson or Walmart.
One thing I will say in my experience of performing this its best to make your own ice cubes as they will be bigger and there for more amazing hope that helps and wish you the best of luck with this. k |

I've just ordered a mold that makes 2inch balls of ice. Should just fit, bet you can see where I'm going with this, eh Jamie?

As a holder, must I wear a jacket? As a street performer, I was wondering about wardrobe flexibility

Hi magic Brent its beter in a jacket but deppending on your pocket space you could carry its about half the size as a playing card case but as thick hope that helps

I've published a fairly long review of this effect over at my blog (http://magicboxsteve.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/to-max-by-keiron-johnson.html) so I'll just paraphrase some of my thoughts and opinions here.
I love this. I will use this. It gets amazing reactions, and is a true reputation maker. I can only imagine how spectators will retell this effect to their friends after the event. I imagine this to be one of those stories your spectator will tell anyone who ever brings up the subject of magicians with them in the future. It's a total no-brainer for me. This is surely going to get a lot of use by me whilst working (both in the shop and in my working repertoire) and at £25 is worth every penny and more. My sincerest thanks to Keiron and Russ for making this available!

Well what can I say,I really like Ultra Gum,and I love performing the routine where I put their chosen corner of there card in the gum pack so when Kieron released "To the Max I got very excited about the routine where their signed chosen coin, appear's in a cube of ice.I have had a nearly 3 week's wait for this to turn up and it has been solely down to a shipping problem and the shop not being quite honest in telling me, after I had ordered it and paid for it, that in fact it was not in stock yet, anyway I have it now and that's all that matter's.During my waiting spell I have been collaborating with Kieron on some idea's that I have had for when I recieved it and I can honestly say what a true gentleman Kieron is with so much help and support from him, absolutly fantastic.Today I fried the student's mind's I performed the signed coin in the cube no less then 4 times, each as hard hitting on the spectator's,i simply got them to mark a penny, I made it disapear and reapear in a cube of ice,no one asked any questions just laughed and looked bewildered saying where did the ice come from?and how did the penny get in there? never even saw me go into my pockets the heat was on my hand after the coin had vanished, I simply walked off, game over, This is just the start for me with this only test roaded it today after only getting it yesterday, tomorrow I will be playing with another idea of mine,so a big hat's off to Keiron and look forward to more crazy release's from him.
