The Coin in Ice is great too , but I like to the max the most . The gimmick is cool . Thanks for the response RNK. Would the device be workable for producing ice as final loads? With simultaneous holders for multiple productions?

I don't usually do reviews but this is going to be an exceptional. First of all I have to say that Kieron is a great guy and he is extremely helpful and patient. A friend of mine has this, and I knew how it works even before I got it. Don't get disappointed when you first see the gimmick; I'm telling you, the gimmick DOES IT JOB. I couldn't believe it at first, but it didn't take long to convince me. Just take a look at previous pages on this thread; you'll see nothing but praises on this product.
I live in Singapore and the average temperature here is probably around 28 to 31 degree celsius. Its a pretty warm climate I would say, but I have no issues with having the ice in the holder for 90 minutes or so. For those in colder climate countries, you should be able to last longer. I have the shift bending key from Ellusionist as well, and this alone is worth the price for the reset for the key. Just chuck the key into the holder, and 3 minutes later you're reset for the key. This is particularly good for me, because as mentioned, I live in a warm climate country and my shift key will always bends prematurely. Keeping the key in the holder and taking it out a couple of minutes before a performance (you wouldnt want the spectator to hold on to a ice cold key) solves the premature bending problem. A huge bonus for me. Thanks Kieron for such a amazing product. Truly a worker. Appearing a block of ice is like producing smoke or fire; it simply looks like.. magic. |

Hello DTJK,
Thanks so much for the kind words about To the Max! For those attending the Blackpool Convention in the UK this weekend, Kieron will be performing all weekend on the rsvpmagic stand, showing To the Max, ATW and effects from the new James Brown DVD "Hide and Seek". Come and say hello! Best, Russ |

I just felt I had to make a post as I am driving home from a walk around gig and say thanks to Keiron and RSVP. To The Max got such amazing reactions. When the drops of water started falling from my hands on to the spectators hand that's when the "WHAT THE"'s began. Then the block of ice plopped into the specs hand and crazy screaming reactions were had! What a moment!!!!

DTJK,
Are you sure you can keep the ice 90 minutes in your country Singapore? I doubted it. I live in Indonesia where the temperature is much the same with your country. The ice only last for not more that 10 minutes before it melts. |

Got this at Blackpool... Simple and practical gimmick. Very low tech (in a good way, simply NOTHING to go wrong). The 'feel' of a cold, wet block of ice appearing in your hand is a very tactile moment with an unexpected and huge magical impact!!

Placed the ice inside the gimmick, 90 minutes later, took the ice out, and it measures around 3/5 of its earlier size. Of course the ice will melt, but it is still a good size for a production. Besides, the ice cube I used was the ones you pop into your drinks (small). If you look at Kieron's demo video his block of ice looks like much bigger, probably a 5x5. That is a way bigger size, and a bigger block of ice would mean that it would take longer to melt away. |
