Recently I purchased a matrix trick that uses magnetic pennies (US) at an auction. The trick did not come with instructions. Does anybody have instructions for this trick? I have never performed any version of matrix before. Thanks.
PS- These pennies do not have magnets inside them. However they are attracted by magnets. |

Magnets don't usually play any part in a matrix. There are so many versions out there but I'd start with David Roth's Chink a Chink.

Hate to get this discussion going again, but I'm a diehard: Chink-a chink isn't the Matrix. Different effects altogether.

Changing the subject slightly one more time, if you want to learn a good Matrix effect from scratch, try Qua-Fiki's "Matrix Mix" from The Wizards' Journal #23. Magnetic coins are not required, but interestingly enough, Shawn Farquhar's MatriXpress uses a gimmick that can make use of the special coins you have. His site is: http://www.magichampion.com
