It's a game BUT within reason.
Example of one that is too obscure for an average EA. You you're an escape artist when you knw the difference between the keys for lightweight and heavyweight Clejuso lightweight and heavyweight cuffs. /--/ Heres an few examples of fun stuff. You know youre an EA when you know the difference in a rope burn from juke and poly. Or You know you're an EA when you know the difference between old style and new style Peerless. ( that's pbvious if you see the keys together) Or another good one. You know you're an EA when you know the how to escape a Posey or a HR. Lets see who has some good ones Oh You know youre an EA when you know the difference between a Seinerian Chain Escspe and a Keller Tie.

Good thread
You know you're an EA when, you realise that the hardest part of being an EA .... isn't getting out of the restraints!!! |

You know you're an escape artist, when you hang up your tee-shirts just to make room in the drawer from your new locks and chains.
(Yes I have done that)

Actually I did. It is an old Penn and Teller tee-shirt form their traveling show about 15 years ago.

You know you're an EA when you know the difference between a Russian Manacle and a Turkish Manacle.
Or you know the difference between a Mirror Cuff and a Two Way Mirror Cuff ---_------ -----_ Ros. Are you saying we should read that book for inspiration?

You run across an erotic bondage photo, and find yourself looking at the restraints.

You can eyeball-match a key from one booth in an antique mall to a keyless padlock in another booth--and the key WORKS!
(and, yes, I've done this a few times)

Steve, that's Badass. Whenever I pick up locks at antique shops, they NEVER have the key. It sucks.

(One that I heard a while back)- You're an EA/handcuff collector when your parrot makes ratching noises.

I did a Euro tour once, where part of the media PR was a bondage expert in every city, trying to bind me. It was very educational, and a couple of them were difficult.

Your first thought at seeing almost any reasonably large container is, "I wonder if I could fit in that?"
