I'm sure many here (much more creative than me) could come up with a use for this"

If ony the liquid was red....vampire blood?

A blot of ink on paper becomes a word... a name....initials.... a symbol.... a liquid Dowsing device (a la pendulum board.... yes, no, hello, goodbye).

Lots of possibilities here.

Cheers

It's reportedly very messy to work with. I do not know from personal experience.

Did put up a thread about magnetic putty a while back also hard to work with I had so many good ideas just were not practical with the nature of the putty ,but that's experimentation for ya, lol.

Ferrofluid often contains an oily carrier and instantly stains porous materials. That's why it's so messy. If you use an aqueous carrier you might be able to get a red-tinted "blood."

Veterans of the Café with good memories going back a few decades may recall a nationally televised magic special in which a famous performer caused ink poured in a puddle in an aluminum pie tin to visibly mutate into the shape of an audience member's mentally selected geometric shape.
Arthur C Clarke was mistaken--Magic has always been the most advanced form of technology.
