You made me want to rush back home and start to read it immediately.
Most memorable moment - with Maestro Juan Tamariz & Consuelo Lorgia in FISM Busan 2018.

Somehow I completely missed hearing about this! Looks like I have another book to throw on the "to get" list.

So I just got the book today but I'm hoping that someone can suggest the five best tricks from Lessons in Card Mastery. This book is full of so many effects but I don't really want to waste time reading the ones that aren't useful to me. I think I read somewhere that Darwin would be releasing a companion volume to the book that would list the five best tricks, but this was supposed to be released a couple of months after the book was out and we still don't have it! Anyone who has the book and can help me out, it would be appreciated. Thanks! Not sure what to do in the meantime.

Yeah, I was hoping people who read the book (and the forward) would get the joke. I'm looking foward to spending more time with the book this nice, long weekend.

Unfortunately, I still haven’t decided what the five strongest effects in Lessons in Card Mastery are. (I keep changing my mind.)
By the way, anyone who wants an autographed copy of the book can still order it directly from me. Just email me at the address in my signature. Sincerely, Darwin Ortiz |

There are some really wonderful effects and lessons in this but I'm very disappointed by the editing. There are many spelling errors such as 'CARWD' and multiple misuses of your/you're. There's even a paragraph that uses a different a typeface from the rest of the book.
I've never written, published or edited a book but it always surprises me when mistakes that even a quick spellcheck would have picked up appear in the final printed version. That gripe aside, this book is really fantastic and I do not regret purchasing it. (Twelve the Hard Way really kills) |
