Just a heads up for those of you who, like me, luv the magic square. I've got a lot of versions but apart from Luke Jermays routine incorporating it with a rubric's cube, not many are truly entertaining for my style. This new one from Charles Gauci called Super Magic Square is really really good. It allows for a more personal connection between the spectator and event chosen. I bought this from Stevens Magic on a whim and wasn't expecting too much and certainly not expecting how easy and strong it turned out to be. Basically you ask a spectator to think of a special year. The instructions say between 1900 - 2000 but I found you can do any year at all including this century without any huge maths calculus. The numbers come out very balanced if that makes sense. No large numbers then a couple of single digits like some squares. I always obtain the number secretly and have the square done before asking the spectator for their number. Looking confused, then of coarse discovering the outcome of the square.
Not cheap, 50 bucks, but for me at least, worth every penny. If you want a square to reveal a year, this is very clean, easy (I can't believe how easy)and looks good on the board as the numbers are all well mixed, then this is well worth your consideration.
