Has anyone purchased the Wikipedia Book on Edgar Bergen?

http://www.amazon.com/Edgar-Bergen-Jesse......098077X/

It's listed at $19.95 and has 138 pages.

The book description indicates that it was compiled from Wikipedia articles.
It could still possibly be okay, but the editors create dozens of books quickly;
so the quality will definitely not be top-notch.

If anyone has purchased a copy,
please provide a review.

Thanks!

HHmmm sounds a little unreasonable to have to pay someone for a book they compiled out of wikipedia articles.

LOL. Indeed so. Not to mention it being a rather unscholarly way to "write" a book.
The mere act of citing Wikipedia as the primary source renders the whole thing as questionable.

Yup Fonsy, I think it's going to be a long wait to see any reviews of that book. I know I won't be buying it, if I want a book of Wikipedia articles, I'll print them out myself and stick them in a binder.

I agree that if this book is just a compilation of Wiki articles,
then it is NOT worth buying.

However, if the editors spent many long hours editing, cutting, checking,
and rearranging those articles, it could be worth the price.

Edgar Bergen certainly deserves a good biography.
Candice Bergen's KNOCK WOOD is a well written book
with a great deal of biographical info on her father.

Still, I definitely wouldn't mind seeing yet another good book
devoted to Edgar Bergen.

You know, now that I think about it, I can't think of a book that is just a biography of Edgar Bergen.

Daughter Candice Bergen's Knock Wood comes close.

Like Fonsy said, that book contains a lot of biographical info about her father, but it's not a book that's just a biography of Edgar Bergen.
