Hi This is my review of ShowBizcrm after 6 weeks of use.
First of all I have no affiliation, connection with ShowBizcrm. ShowBizcrm is a Web based software designed for Entertaners to organise their booking process, web forms, deposits, newsletters, calendar, calls, all in one place. There is a Learning curve to using this software and does take time to set it up properly But anyone that can use a word-processor and find there way around the computer should be-able to set themselves up with out to much hassle. There’s lot of video tutorials and email templates to get started. There is so much to this software you can use as much or as little of the features as you would Like. So I think its best showing you how I use it. Its based on workflows you setup. So if some one fills in the form on my website (you can set the form up how you wont) Ive set up a template email that's emailed to me along with a hello email to them. Ive set it to have my calendar on the email so I can see if I'm booked or not that day and all the other people that have asked about that date. plus all the info they have filled in. Next I click the link to the workflows. I just click a workflow and the rest is automated If I'm free That day Ive set up workflow that 1. sends out an email to them telling them about the show, prices, ect one day later send out an email to them asking if they got the info they wonted ect, seven days later send a touching base email. ten months later send an email to see if I can help them with any events this year. “These can be cancelled at any time” If I'm not free send email saying sorry I'm not free. 10 months later send email asking if I can help with anything this year. (this is worth the price of the system alone, all the people I carnt do parties for hinting they should booked early for next year) all the emails are personalised automatically. The workflow are set into 3 main areas .sales, (like above) bookings and triggers (when form is filled in) If Im free and they want to book I call them or they call me (you don't have to do this you can do it all online) I fill in the details over the phone and then set a booking workflow. there sent a email with a online link to sign the contract online(they can printout and send back aswell) cancel all sales workflow create an event in my calendar (sinc with google and ical) in two days send me and them an email if they have not signed it (chase up) Most sign within afew hours. Once they sign the next workflow triggers send them a confermtion YOUR BOOKED email five days before the party send email to say I'm looking forward to the party and afew tips for a great event one day after the party send email saying I hope you enjoyed the show please go to my facebook and coment ect, ten months later send email to say I had a great time at johns party if you need my new show deatils let me know that's how I have set it up to work, But you can set it up the way you wont it I don't use the CRM part yet but all the people that fillin the form and the people that you add manually are added to the database you can then setup newsletter ect and send them to all your clients at once. Setting it all up has not come without afew problems or bugs in the software and has taken alittle time to understand how it all works. But the customer support has been amazing. any problems ive had or bugs ive found have been fixed or explained within a day or two (sometimes in hours) the guys that run this are entertainers and the system is evolving all the time. there are video to tutorial and even a customer forum were you can post your questions and find answers. If I could add one thing it would be a premium service (per hour) where you pay for one to one video (skype) setup PRO:- Database of clients works on ipad Safari Custom web UI with Graphs of income for the month, contract sent, contact, upcoming bookings, (anything you want) Set Workflow (automated email, create events, call, tasks,) CRM (newsletters) Six weeks free trail Take deposits and full payment (paypal) Electronically sign documents Fully customise the way you want it. Email templates to get you started SMS notifications Custom web form CONS:- Abit of a learning curve. Monthly payment (NOT one off payment) “I understand why they have to do this” No one to one video help. A lot of time to setup the way you want it. Email is not 100% guaranteed togo to inbox (like with all email systems) they say 99% Found afew bugs (all have been fixed quickly) No Iphone Ipad, Android stand-alone app (yet?) (it does work on iphone ipad Safari) Need Internet connection use (webbased) Conclusion As you can probably tell I'm a fan of this software, I'm still in the early stages and have only been using it for six weeks, it not perfect but is evolving all the time, the makers seem committed and the customer support has been brilliant. I would say if you got time to invest in this software and are ok with computers and wordprocessors you have nothing to lose trying out the six week free trail. you could ease into it (I started by just workflow the emails back to the customers, before taking full booking) But if you’re impatient and want to pick quick fix stay clear of the software. This may or may not be for you But theres one way to find out Once you set up the software properly and how you like it, it will save you tons of time per year, Plus have a very large probability of getting you more bookings. $30 per month (after 6 week trail) http://www.showbizcrm.com |

Kevin here, the louder and dumber 1/2 of ShowBizCRM.
Just a quick note that Michael has rolled out another dozen or so improvements in the last few months. It of course doesn't matter how swell we tell you it is, but listen for goodness sake to your peers! Cheers, km

Overall I am happy with Showbiz CRM and feel that it is well worth the money. I know I have gotten many shows because it automatically contacts customers 10 months after a show and ask them if they want to book again. This is the kind of thing that I should have beend doing all along but I'm just not that orginized on my own.
The Showbiz CRM folks answer questions in the forum and by email quickly. I strongly feel that the program should have a "Basic Mode" that is push button simple and lets you get going right out of the box. I had to spend a long time getting to know the program and figuring out what the heck a "work flow" was etc etc. Again, I am happy with the program and recommend it. I would love to hear from others on how they feel about the programs learning curve. Would you be willing to give up some of the flexibiltiy in favor of eas of use? Assuming it was designed well and worked? |

I have been using ShowBiz CRM for about 6 months now and am very pleased with the product and the service. There is a learning curve, but its not as bad as some other products I’ve used. I tried MagicBase (I think that’s the name of it) and ACT and it ended up being a waste of money since I was not smart enough to figure out how to use it! Not so with Showbiz CRM. I’ve been able to put it to use and generate business, and I’ve only scratched the surface of what this product is capable of.
Still, in the ‘if I were a computer programmer’ category it seems to me printing address labels should be as easy as clicking the mouse a few times, and an email blast should be generated with a few clicks also. Of course it would be great if the program could read my mind too, but I guess we’ll have to wait for that! I would highly recommend ShowBiz CRM.

Yes, I agree that it does have a learning curve to it. As for basic mode. Anyone can pick and choose which of it's features they want to use. Like Ken, there are features it has that I've not yet tapped into. Go as slowly or as fast as you like. My understanding is that a future version of it will include a set-up wizard to help make the set-up process easier. One of the things that I like is that they are routinely enhancing it. When members go to the forum and express a wish for a change or enhancement....they are quick to respond.
But you'll never know until you try it. |
