I finally found time to restore my old voice changer microphone. It took me 2 days to replace the micro switches, replace the mic unit, cold solder the 2 circuit boards, attach a XLR plug to convert it to wireless. Day 1 was really frustrating, but day 2 went with success.

Now I don't have to worry it failing, no need to bring long cords, it will now work 100% sure unlike before.

I use this with a child asking questions and changing his voice from robocop to chipmunk and vice versa with my voice, too.

Anyone of you ever had this?

If it were, then I would not have to restore mine, LOL! These were available more than 12 years ago. I did search on the net, they only have the cheap toy versions and those gadgets used to disguise voices for phone use. They don't sound the same quality as the one I have now.

Hi Lou,

What do you call that thing you attached to the mic to make it wireless? Will that work on regular mics?

Yes Wanlu, it will work on regular mics that have an XLR connector.
