Hi Guy’s
Just wanted to let you know about our forthcoming release by Alakazam’s very own Mark Gray. Myth is an idea Mark had a few years ago. When Mark showed me the effect I loved it and talked him in to releasing it to the marketplace! I’m glad to say we should have these in stock within 14-21 days. Myth is a nice take on the card at any number. Anyway for the full description and the trailer please click on the link. http://www.alakazam.co.uk/product-Myth-By-Mark-Gray.html Thanks for your support, as always Sincerely Peter Nardi |

Alakazam is to be congratulated for a good promotional video in that it plays from beginning to end showing the entire effect with none of the usual cut aways and out of shot presentations.
Fluent Spanish speaker, if I can help anyone, let me know.

Thanks,
We always try to do this with our videos even though we often shot ourselves in the foot as people can't wait to prove how clever they are by exposing the method. One thing I have always done with Alakazam is release great effects for magicians to perform in a real life setting to real people. Not try and fool you all in to buying something you will never use. Unfortunately or fortunately whichever way you look at it, Ive been really busy of late. I've been spending a lot of time away from Alakazam consulting on various TV shows. I'm really happy to say that's all completed now and I'm back at Alakazam HQ 8-)

Does this come with the effect?

It's like an ACAN (not ACAAN, nor CAAN, but ACAN)

I generally like ACAAN effects about as much as multi-phase Oil & Water abominations.
But do you know what? This is the first effect of the ACAAN genre that actually looks convincing and has some meaning. It's as clean as a whistle; with no displacement or removal of cards once the card and/or number is named (as in many other versions). It's also a two deck routine that could, with a little thought, be used in the majority of situations - including walk around mix and mingle (maybe even stronger if a spectator held onto the number deck from the outset)? The fact that you can make up your own gimmicked deck is another plus - personally, I'd use a certain stick (my only minor criticism with the vid was Mark's pretty ropey handling of the R/S principle). Just to add, that the double coincidence reveal of the card is a very strong kicker. My only nagging question would be whether the outcome actually looks this clean every time - or was this a 'best case scenario'? Are there multiple outs? The presentation, as shown, also gets a small group of people involved (always a good thing) and, in all honesty, you wouldn't need to do much more than this one routine for each group. Nice clear demo vid too as mentioned above. No rock music, clouds of smoke, camera cutting to people's faces and annoying screams of "oh my guuuudddddddd". This actually looks VERY good - and I'm a very critical bast**d!
