I've seen far worse done to animals living and dead than an owner trying to memorialize, immortalize them. Orville will be remembered, no doubt. Legendary, indeed.

Some people don't see pets as Family, just objects to own.
I'm not judging this Artist, just saying that I see no difference between doing this to a pet or a human Family member. I would never do this to any creature (well maybe someone like Hitler). I guess I Love my pets too much. I wonder if the Artist would mind if he was turned into a flying craft, or maybe a lamp post. Iven

Being the artsy type,I should imagine he'd love someone to immortalize him in such a way.
He'd be minorly famous for two things then, instead of one. Ray.

Upset? Not me. I could't help but chuckle at the video (I sent it to some Friends for their amusement).
I'm glad you posted the link. What is done is done and posting or not posting doesn't change reality. I don't think you really upset anyone except those who wanted to be upset. Anyone could tell what the video was going to be by reading the link. Thanks for posting. I hope that the few who were disturbed by your post will get over it and be more careful to read the link before opening. Iven

I suppose I should apologize in advance, but that clip was hilarious. What a wonderful thing to do with dead cats. Can you imagine the neighborhood of traumatized birds when Orville the Cat buzzes by? I wonder if he still lands feet first every time. No prissy food problems, no cat box, and altitude instead of attitude. Win win.

My ex-cat was named "Muffin". "Vomit" would be a better name for her. AKA "The Evil Ball of Fur".

That's the impression from the article I read months ago. To me, anyway, there is a difference between a pet and a family member here. People - in general - accept stuffing animals, but never stuff humans (speaking of taxidermy). To me, personally, while I wouldn't be interested in doing it, I don't see this as a dividing line between anything. One could argue that there is a difference between simply stuffing a pet, and making it into a helicopter...then again, one could argue he is enjoying the memory of his cat much more by copterizing him/her. Additionally, he now has a cat that is very obedient, and will never pee on his carpets!

I have not read the article, did not know there was one. It would not have changed my personal attitude anyway. He did what he did and I really don't have a problem with it. I just could not do this to a beloved pet. Maybe my words sound harsher than I ment them to be. The Artist is free to do what he wants, just as I am free to feel the way I do. I would never tell him or anyone that stuffing a pet or their kid is wrong, I just could not do it. That's all.
Great picture Frankie. I had to copy it for my collection. The look on the cats face as he is leading the squad is priceless. Iven
