Penguin has had 38 live lectures so far and they keep getting better.

I think he means the drawings themselves though.

I have wondered about the cartoon drawer as well.

HAHAHA. Maddy, you're right. I thought he meant 'drawing them to Ohio to lecture ".

The drawings are cool.

I tried to ask penguin the same thing. I wanted a promo piece. They never answered my email. They are usually excellent at customer service.

Did you ask twice?

Didn't Phil Goldstein used to create artwork for hank lee? He was pretty good too.

I just received the following from Gayle with Penguin Magic:

Hi Christopher!

Thanks so much for your interest in our magitar cartoons. We'd love to help you, but we're working hard (and spending money) to keep our brand looking unique. I hope you understand that it would work against us to tell who the artist is or make cartoons for other magicians.

Thanks again for your support!

Nowadays, Penguin is one of the baddest site you have to be careful to visit. They have bombarded their customers with great cool box, very-tempting lectures, surprise promos and great customer service.

It always gives me an itch when I'm penniless to visit their website. Beware! Oh, also with decent price for shipping cost around the world.

I know what you mean. I'll end up buying a few things just to get their 85% off special. It's genius marketing. They advertise a quality "loss leader" where they may lose money and then we buy it and probably more magic so penguin ends up making money. We all win. Black Friday uses this loss leader concept as well, except with penguin we don't have to spend the night there to get a great deal.

That makes sense. Very polite, diplomatic way of saying "F-off, this guy is OURS!" Probably a good business decision.

The thing is, I wasn't inquiring to try and have the whoever it is do work for me, I'm just curious b/c I'm curious. The person is very good and very talented and I just wanted to know WHO the mystery person is. I guess something will never be known.

Sorry if my previous posting was irrelevant. I thought we're gonna talk about the greatness from Penguin lately.

Now I just realized that you guys are talking about the cartoon artist.

I can understand them not wanting to tip it. I have a logo that I'm so in love with. I always get compliments from other magicians and have been asked who the artist is. Like thos Penguin drawings, he has a VERY distinct style, which dre me to him. He had never done work for a magician before, and they you won't get his name from me.

Did you try asking this question on the Penguin forum? They have a forum. It doesn't look very active but it seems that it would be a good place to find answers about their site.

I've done cartoon caricatures in Photo shop by starting with a photo & manipulating it with various tools until it looks like a cool cartoon character.
But this looks like a drawing.
Well done.

It looks like generic flash animation style artwork to me. I'd go to fiverr.com, throw an artist $5 and tell them you want to look like you work for microsoft live chat.

Or star in Wild Kratts
