Does anyone know if there is a gaffed Onasaka purse out there that can conceal an extra Morgan coin making it appear empty?

I know these purses are used for (1) dumping out something while holding in the coins (like in flash coins relit) and (2) holding an extra coin behind or under purse.
what else? |

Yes I use it to hide a coin behind to place in finger palm.

Billappleton, I have a routine with an Onasaka purse where I do hold the coin underneath the purse already. I was thinking the way the Onasaka purse is designed now with a kind of hidden release to open, maybe it could be made to have a divider so you can show it empty and when you close the purse you can turn it over and when it opens from the other end it shows the coin inside. Could be very deceptive. Even if inspected it could still pass as being a regular purse as only one side can open at a time. So you can present the purse, open it up and show a coin inside. Remove the coin, vanish it and then open the purse again and the coin is there again. Just thinking of possibilities.

Cool idea. There are double sided purses on eBay that have a double clasp that might do what you want.

He closes the purse and puts it down, it appears empty. At the end of the routine the coins are back in the purse. I got mine for that routine, but I thought there were other magical uses for the Onasaka purse... |

Yeah, I love that routine by EJ. I just picked up Metal 3 last week and it's amazing. BenzaiMagic, I went to John Born's site by the link you posted and that is exactly what I was thinking about. Wish you can use Morgans with it though.

James Lewis's "Utility Purse Switch", using the Onasaka's purse can be found in his Million Dollar video. Using this technique is no need to use gaffed purses.

Hello webtech,
I take an ordinary coin purse and, with an exacto knife, make a slit at the top of the inside frame, where the extra coin can be hidden between the lining and outside of the purse. Done with care, it can't be noticed. With my thumb covering this slit, I pull out the regular coin that is inside the purse, put the purse aside, gently, make the coin disappear and then dump out the hidden coin that has been hiding betwwen the lining and outside of the purse. I use this for actually two coins in a Cody Fisher routine. Might work for you. Jim. |
