I remember Marcelo doing hand shadows at an SAM convention many years ago and it was one of the most beautiful and elegant performances I've ever seen. He was a great artist and will be sorely missed.

Marcello and I had kept in touch for years after he had his illiness. I was able one year to give him a little hand shadow Christmas ornament. I was honored that the photo of him doing the moose that I took he used in a lot of his promo pieces.
His smile was infectious, his personality warm and genuine, When he did his hand shadow act is was pure magic. I remember he used an old photographer's trick to set the light distance from the screen... A piece of string. You simply pull the string between the two items and you have the quick easily set, repeatable set up. We used it in studios to set light. I do do facebook. But it almost makes me want to join to tribute this wonderful person. He is missed. Richard
