Hi guys. This is a question for pros who have websites and ads and subsequently get inquiries by email.
I've got a very good pitch when people phone to inquire about our shows, which usually results in a booking. I enthuse about all the fun, unique and mysterious aspects of our shows, etc., and of course don't mention the price until near the end, when they're already (hopefully) hooked. Now, though, I'm starting to get a fair few inquiries by email, through our ads and website. Often they won't include their phone number so I can ring back, and they always ask the price. I've got a good written blurb that I then reply with, and against my better judgement I've also been including our prices, because they asked for it. Should I somehow leave the price off and ask them to email me back with their phone number so I can discuss our shows with them in detail? What do you guys do? Cheers, Kath from NZ

I use an autoresponder form so they can tell me the whens and wheres etc. I figure its fair for them to ask price.
I tell them all about my show and why I am such a value, THEN I tell them the price.

I agree with Neale. I just got one a few minutes ago. I will ask if they want the promotional material sent by mail or email. I have several documents: Bio, Show Descriptions, Endorsement Sheet, Customization Worksheet, and Price List.

I handle my e-mail inquiries like I do my phone calls. I handle them also like good direct mail. I make sure that I state the benefits of the show and how my show can not only meet their needs but eliminate problems and stress that they may be having.
In the e-mail, I tell them a little bit more about myself, who I am and what makes me different then the rest. I then state the benefits of my show and how it benefits them to have me there. I then go on to list the different things that come with my show and then finally I state the price if they have asked for it. make sure to include your contact information and also give them some reason to repsond back to you soon. I sometimes give them a discount if they repsond back to book within 5 days of receiving the e-mail. This gives them incentive to act. I use a very good lead generation letter and e-mail and it has worked really well for me. If anyone would like to see a copt of it, please PM me and I will send that out to you. It certainly may not be for everyone, but may give you some ideas for your own.
