Hi All,

I received an email today from Jeff Dunham saying he has released copies of his Little Jeff as seen in Controlled Chaos.
It looks really good and has side to side moving eyes as well as the obligatory opening mouth and also includes a training DVD.

For more information visit his store at Jeff Dunham dot com.

Yes, they are out, I already have one coming from Tom Ladshaw.
They are a cool vent collectable or practical for a learner or someone wanting a smaller figure for something.
I think I may even view the instructional material with it coming from a real and experienced professional like Jeff.

I am in the U.K and am going to have to wait until Jeff's European Store stocks them as international shipping always makes things quite costly.
I definitely will get one though, more as a collectible than a worker!

I was surprised that the price was actually quite reasonable on this item ($124.95).
I believe that is the lowest price on any vent figure or toy that has a control stick.

Although, I must admit,as far as Dunham collectibles are concerned,
I am more partial to the talking Walter bobblehead.
Whenever someone walks into my office,
I just push a button, and Walter always seems
to make an appropriate comment.

$90 for postage to Australia was a deal breaker for me at this time unfortunately Smile

Actually I'm not that interested in the Little Jeff I'd like to just get my hands on the DVD that comes with it.

Same here, Aussie. I asked Tom Ladshaw about buying the DVD/booklet without Little Jeff, but that's not a possibility at this time - perhaps in the future.

I'd say that the "Little Jeff" puppet is a real bargain.

In 1963, the 32" JURO "Jerry Mahoney" with moving eyes sold for around $35(USD); when you factor in inflation, that same $35 is the equivalent of just under $275 in today's money, so these "Little Jeff" figures are effectively at the same price point as the JURO figures were back in 1960!

This looks like it will be a really great beginner figure for a whole new generation of vents.

I was also surprised myself at the price tag on the Little Jeff figures, I really did expect them to be more than they are.

Those of you who are interested in just the DVD/booklet, maybe go to Jeff's store and use the contact button and ask if they have considered selling those separately from the figure, or if they have plans to. Even if they won't sell you one now, perhaps they will let you know if they have plans to sell them separately at some point in the future.

It brings to mind my first vent figure from back in the 70's, it was a little guy with firey red hair, a little red dinner jacket and bow tie, his name was Peter Patter. He had blinking eyes and moving mouth.

The Little Jeff really looks great, if I had some spare dough (and a justifiable excuse to tell the wife) I'd get him.

Maybe Jeff will sell his Little Jeff next year at Vent Haven? Smile

That will help non-US guys save on some costs.

Yeah, but the cost of airfare may be a tad more than the cost of shipping.

Aussie, if you have a friend or relative in the US,
you might ask them to ship it to you.

The USPS offers a variety of shipping methods.
Many online sellers, unfortunately, do not offer the best shipping price.
I also live overseas.
Sometimes I just ask sellers if they can offer an alternative shipping method
(many or most say no, but occasionally some do say yes).

A friend or relative may be able to ship Little Jeff to you
for around $40 or $50.

But, alas, most of the time you'll just have to pay what the seller asks
if you really and truly want the item.
How badly do you want Little Jeff?

Actually, Aussie was one of the ones that said he wasn't so much interested in the figure as the DVD, but you are right Bob, some sellers do tack on a lot more than they need to. I have a friend in New Zealand I have shipped stuff to in the past and it really didn't seem to be all that much more - the time getting there was another story though.

Tom Ladshaw always offers the best postage cost he can find I have no doubt about that and yes I'm really only interested in the instructional dvd (I collect those, it's my little quirk). Shipping to here does seem to always take 2 to 3 weeks from the US no matter what I pay and up to 6 weeks from the UK.

You ain't kiddin', Dave!

I recently bought a Halloween costume for a dummy.
There were many sellers who sold the identical
costume in prices from $12 to over $30.
But the prices in overseas shipping costs varied even more greatly:
anywhere from $12 to $53.

For people living outside of the US but who purchase items from the US,
it's absolutely essential to check and compare the total (item + shipping) cost.

Out of curiosity, I just went to Dunham's website
and plugged in my address to check the cost of overseas shipping.

Dunham offers both UPS and USPS:

http://www.jeffdunham.com/shop/little-je......st-dummy

United Parcel Service
UPS Worldwide Expedited $184.89

United States Postal Service
Priority Mail International $58.55

$58.55 is pretty good considering that also includes shipping the booklet and DVD.

Well, my purpose of going to VentHaven is not only for Little Jeff. That's secondary reason. Smile

Don't tell Little Jeff that!
I hear he can be quite sensitive.
