I would like to purchase a salt shaker that has a test tube in it, so that the shaker appears to have more salt in it than it actually does.

They are no longer made, sorry!
One was Aldini Salt Shaker, another was made by U.F. Grant which is now Mak Magic. If you don't want the vanishing feature, Levent makes a Salt Shaker that holds less then it looks. |

Yes, Levent has exactly what you are looking for. His are actually a better design than the old ones.
