Lisa and I have just arrived home from the special presentation of the Merlin award to Paul Cosentino by the president of the International Magicians Society. Congratulations to Coz for receiving the award for Most Original Magician. The evening was hosted by Ian ”Molly’ Meldrum at Melbourne’s Crown casino. Coz’s unique style of presentation for both his escapes and illusions has been recognized. It was great to met family and those who have supported his dream. On show was many of his escapes and nice to see the concrete boot I had made. Well done and the ward was certainly deserved. A worthwhile interruption to his sell out tour.

Isn't the Merlin award for sell?

They contacted me and wanted to present me with one of these and wanted me to make a $3,000 donation to their group.

Tony basically invites anyone who will buy a membership and that has a presentable act. There are a few threads about this award on here!

Unfortunately the Merlin is a 'buyable' (if that's a word) award. Its got an extremely bad reputation but hey - it looks good on your PR.

Strangelittleman,

Something we both agree on! GREAT PR the award is, since it is tied to so many big names.

Lets see..... If I save "a little" every week, at the end of two years I might be surprised at how little I have!

By the way, In a national survey, 3 out of 4 people, preferred Jay Leslie !!!
(I asked my cousin, my aunt, my mother and dialled some random phone number in Ohio)

Make way for Noddy, say a big hello..... Now the theme Tunis is going round my head! Our youngest is just getting in to it!

When she grows out of it I will put some of the DVDs up for sell.

Magic123,
Kinda, there is a fee for placing the star on the walk of fame, but usually a group sponors it and the person who is getting their star usually doesn't pay for it.
