As if this even needs a review,
As with all Wolf products, this will not disappoint, it looks amazing as you can see from the photo or his web site, but it feels good in your hand, a solid feel, not like a toy but more like a tank, it is not heavy, but it is balanced, the crank handle and knob move with a smooth, solid feel. The business end is also very well thought out, a fluid smooth motion and you have you ring, at this point there is a slight noise that strongly enhances the perception of a damaged ring as it “Pours glitter” in to the spectators hand, now you are in position holding the Ring Grinder in you open palm and showing the other hand empty as well, 2 super strong points that sell the effect and all happen almost automatically, this alone is worth the price. No matter how close or far away your audience is, you can do this, Although it was designed with a gumball machine in mind, it is in no way limited to that, it is not at all necessary to go with the gumball. The included instructions are extremely simple to follow and are well detailed in the function as well as routines, included is only one of any amount of routines that it can be used with, there is no DVD and it is not at all necessary. On its own or combined with any other effect, it is a really strong and fun effect. Click here to view attached image. |

Dave,
I appreciate the GREAT review! Your words pretty much say it all. I have been very proud of this creation and it has served many people well over the years. We made a few cosmetic and structural changes over the years but all for the better. I will be posting new pics of the latest version very soon. One of the best feature innovations is the CONTROL of the clacker strip!! Unlike any previous "Grinder" effect, I have added a mechanism that allows the machine to BEGIN running QUIET and smooth. Then, unexpectantly, the unit begins to loudly grind gears quickly proving something has gone terribly wrong...in a fun way This adds a new moment that really drives it home. And of course, my exclusive idea and invention...the AUTO LOAD of the ring into a Toy Capsule. This is as smooth as it gets and you can now do away with the CLICKING SILK problem of the older methods. This effect also gives a logical and very entertaining build up to any Ring in Gumball machine or any other nested box or impossible location effect. The best news is that we have them IN STOCK and READY TO SHIP!! http://wolfsmagic.com/Ring%20Grinder%202.htm Thanks again Dave! Chance

I have been playing with it a lot and I do not use a silk or cloth of any kind, not for the ring or the gumball machine, as for the machine, my body provides the split second of cover in the action of moving the machine, the entire instruction you provide is loaded with brilliant nuances.
On another note, I wish the guy in the bottom right corner of my screen would go away, but I digress, may I will buy him a drink and forget about it. |

RING GRINDER handling tips:
You may use any typical Gold glitter from any Craft store but be sure to look for the glitter that has the largest flakes for better visibility. You need to use 1” Toy capsules as well. They can be found on Ebay or Google. Important!! Due to manufacturing variables to the toy capsules... BE SURE TO TEST THE CAPSULE IN THE MACHINE BEFORE PERFORMANCE!!! Be sure the lid snaps into place during the process and that the capsule RELEASES from the compartment!! Otherwise, it may fail and it will not be due to my manufacturing or method… it will be because you did not follow the advice. Feel free to call me if you have any problems or questions as well. Hope this helps and thanks!! Chance

Chance, coming out with your own version, I can only imagine what it will be, I know I want it. |

I just purchased one and absolutely love it. No other ring grinder is even nearly in the same league. Wolf's Ultimate Ring Grinder greatly resembles, perhaps, a ring cleaning device on the commercial market. The multicolored flashing light controlled by a varying speed knob looks amazing and authentic and really sells the effect. The clacker is completely under your control at all times can be engaged whenever you decide. Meanwhile, this ingenious device allows you to load, cap, and retrieve an industry standard 1" capsule while dumping glitter (the remains of the ring) into the hands of the spectator. It does virtually everything but load the capsule into the impossible location of your choice. I can't say enough good things about this product. Impeccable in terms of precision and quality and stands second to none. Clearly well made by a professional for professionals and will undoubtedly last many years to come. A real pleasure to own and perform with and comes highly recommended.

Not only with the product but with the customer service! Chance was very helpful answering my questions. Yes- I am selling some things to make up the money I spent on this but it is well worth it. This grinder is built to last! All the mechanisms work so nicely together and what I really like about it is that you can hold the unit comfortably without any fumbling while doing the routine. Very smooth operation! And I really love the Gold color with this- very classy. RNK

I do have to say that these new units do not come with the multi-colored flashing LED light anymore. I was a little disappointed about that but everything else with this unit overshadows that fact. It still has a yellow flashing LED light but not at varying speeds.

I also purchased one of his LIMITED GOLD 10th ANNIVERSARY EDITION as a backup. Due to the aforementioned, I put the original version away as my collectable and am now performing with the latter Regardless, they both function beautifully and are amongst the finest props that I own! It is always money well spent when it is something that you will undoubtedly use! |

Thanks for the kind words guys!
I am just finishing up another small run of 12 units. Act fast if you want one as these always sell out fast. http://wolfsmagic.com/A_Ring%20Grinder%202013.htm Yes, we did change the LED lights as the Triple Color versions were no longer available. It is a very small difference that does not matter much in the end. I will forewarn everyone that the LED MAY VARY from run to run!! Also, the HANDLE design has CHANGED a bit as well. It is all for the better as it is a sleeker design. I will update the website with this info for future sales. Thanks again for the great response! Chance

Maps,
The Gumball Scream Machine is scheduled for release sometime in 2014...FINALLY! I cannot give you a specific time as I am still fine tuning the system. Please note that this is unlike ANYTHING on the market in both effect/ending as well as mechanism/loading method. It truly revolutionizes the effect and eliminated some of the predictability...which I always felt was the weak point of the original concept. Keep an ear open for the Scream Machine Thanks Chance

If I know Chance, you will want to grab one of these Gumball Scream Machines as soon as it hits the market. This will be a big addition to his ring grinder. I have to say, this grinder is one of the best props of it's kind on the market. Chance, do you have any idea of a ball park price what these machines will sell for so I can start saving? Also, are you taking advance orders or able to be put on a list for this item? It will be a killer product for sure.

Snidini,
Sorry but I have no idea how much the Gumball SCREAM Machine will cost as there are too many unknown variables in cost until the production is complete. Regarding my Ring Grinder. While I think the capsule loading is just about as cool as it gets...do not forget the COMEDY and DEPTH it adds to your routine. The routine and handling along with the built in comedy features takes the Ring in Gumball Machine effect to an entirely new level of entertainment. I always felt the Ring in Gumball effect had a weak point which is the BEGINNING. Not enough meat on the bone as to why you are even up there doing the trick. Once you begin the premise with the cleaning concept and whip out the Ring Grinder...it's all entertainment, suspense, and laughter. My Ring Grinder comes with a COMPLETE routine and handling that makes sense and all the actions have proper motivation. Trust me...you will dig this. Oh yeah..and we just finished a new run so they are IN STOCK! http://wolfsmagic.com/A_Ring%20Grinder%202013.htm Thanks Chance
